Yeah.
Yeah -- election.
Kind of refreshing write anything we can not talk about politics for just a little bit -- -- -- for joining us we're gonna start with politics before -- branch out.
Coming up foxbusiness.com -- Rodgers joining us to talk about how small businesses feel about the fact that President Obama.
Gets another four years in office yes the Wall Street.
Situation is not liking it today we had -- -- a rally yesterday.
And today at Obama sell off down drastically -- up broke thirteen thousand -- -- I -- small businesses don't think about this but that's the overall market.
And the health.
Care sector is going gangbusters today because obviously act obamacare won't be -- out -- it will not be so business -- throughout this election.
They're great polls for the country as a whole because my fashion downtown 300 points right now wow that lasted just happen.
That's -- okay site design and so they weren't great -- throughout the election because they're really divided on the candidates and some backing Romney for his experience in the private sector and some -- -- -- Obama for his stance on taxes keeping those tax rates low for.
Really sneaking yeah I exactly -- for those making less than 250000 dollars annually so.
Now he's in office and I spoke to Q3 different -- to -- groups to kind of -- to their reaction to the Obama winning.
And talked about what entrepreneurs can expect now that we know he's going to have a second term.
So the first group that I spoke wind with a small business majority and their members.
While all three of these groups are nonpartisan and members ten teen lean a little bit more lax than some of the other advocacy groups.
And -- their president John Heinz -- he said to me that he's hopeful now.
That President Obama really get a grasp on this deficit and start to create a more solid plan for job growth -- nobody wants the president found -- -- -- right now Ray -- scary area but they're hopeful with a good sign guests -- they also think that obamacare does have some good benefits for small businesses in general and that.
If -- know about some of these tax priest that they can take advantage -- that it can be beneficial to their businesses and animal.
And that also.
He's hopeful that president I'll be able to get some of his tax initiatives through in the lame duck session and I I don't know about that I guess that that remains CBC so those are some of the things that he had to say what turns you speak to me that I actually -- -- -- I spoke to them Li Li yesterday asked we we -- -- size though you know possibility of around -- possibility of an Obama point because and mean it.
Things went last night how we expected it would have like 3 AM phone call now yeah I know we talked in advance the Iraqi.
And -- age where they are on -- spoke with a small business and country viewership counsel of their chief economist rate heating.
He said basically he's not feeling hopeful -- thinks this is just more of the scene right.
He said it did in the majorities in the senate and house he doesn't foresee there really mean much more negotiation and there wasn't this past four years and he's not as hopeful.
As the small business majority was.
For president Obama's went.
He also doesn't think president I'll be as willing to negotiate and and really reach across the aisle to spur job growth -- and grow the economy.
Yeah wasn't feeling as good and of course he's not so hot and Obama care they mentioned a fiscal -- yes yes yes actually back -- small business majority he said that pulling out among their small business owners was that.
The top thing that they want is for the president to create a long term solution for this fiscal clip that we -- -- that's -- to a lot of -- can you don't know what to expect.
And -- we could see draconian spending cuts and tax hikes yeah -- severe that.
In the first half of the new year we're back into recession that nothing's done.
Exactly and sequestration is also you know the house small business committee they've had hearings on this and they say that it will disproportionately hurt small businesses -- defense cuts.
Contract cuts no.
Hopefully panorama and up with a solution yeah right side -- have to think that.
It was a close election maybe not as close as we expected -- -- president knows that -- instead target.
The business community a little bit differently -- yeah and -- Oscar race -- -- -- the National Federation of Independent Business news and if we think back to June they alert the plaintiffs in this case against obamacare they were.
They were on you know really epicenter.
And -- -- T so.
They were hoping they're nonpartisan as well but as far as health care policy goes I think there obviously were leaning towards Mitt Romney because he said his first an office that he would -- -- obamacare.
Now here to stay kit Rodgers thank you so much for coming on a -- article up on the screen right now and another thing that's really -- -- with Obama care in 2014.
Companies are gonna have to pay a fine if they don't provided healthcare -- -- workers working at least thirty hours a week exactly how many of them.
A lot of restaurants particularly even retailers -- companies.
And is cutting down the number of hours if they're keeping it will ask part time -- they want to avoid that -- and I think.
A lot of people and spilled into said that they will pay the fee rather than.
-- -- Werner and hear exactly so aren't they think some acting but you know break and well be right back with some.
