What -- have the top of the stack the polls are split.

Some say Obama wins others are picking Romney.

At this point you might think everyone has made up their mind but have -- are there really are there really undecided voters at this late date.

And has hurricane sandy change the dynamics of the contests joining me now former president of Saturday and author of suicide of superpower.

Her friend Pat Buchanan pat.

-- let's start with these undecideds how can anybody.

On this last week -- before the election still wonder who to vote for.

It is -- surprise D'Amato now they can.

As of now I just wonder maybe they're folks it.

Probably voted for Barack Obama before and gotten emotional attachment -- and understanding themselves he really hasn't done that good a job.

And then they're wondering whether Mitt Romney is the got to replace him.

It's really down to very very few folks although in some states swing states just seemed sort of 4646.

Polls which -- made.

That.

A poll like that would tell me that Mitt Romney's in good shape because they've made up their mind about the president who they know much better.

About the conservatives out there you -- their -- when that when the debates were wrought with the Republicans and that was the big the big gripe about Romney was conservatives weren't gonna get on board.

Have they.

If you know Tom that say if that's a good question.

That early on they were not I've got conservative friends in the Buchanan brigades and I'm not voting for Romney.

I think does the campaign is gone on and on and on the conservatives and Republicans have come home.

As much as I've seen in almost any election in my lifetime.

And it's because -- realization.

And our hearts that we really can't go through four more years what we've gone through the last two years.

And secondarily I think.

They think this is maybe the last chance to turn it around for their country.

I think they're conservatives and Republicans are solid as -- then they were not in the summer they were not in this spring.

They are I believe in the fall.

Meg W got so many elections that you've been through you've the ones who ran in the -- White -- -- that you work for everything else -- let me bring -- the 1980.

There was Jimmy Carter was ahead I mean the poll said Carter was gonna win and I -- on the West Coast at that time and I remember driving home from work the polls were still open on the West Coast and Carter threw in the -- he was beaten so badly.

This is gonna happen again.

He lost 44 states but let me -- -- I was so nervous that election year.

I was one of the ones out front saying governor Reagan you gotta put Gerald Ford -- ticket to reassure the country.

And not until that debate.

Came up which was very late and Carter and asked for the debate.

Was not pretty sure that Reagan was gonna take an over the top but -- -- idea that day and up next morning when I went into WRC where our broadcast on radio.

They we were astonished.

44 to six and of course everybody was -- over there aren't at that NBC radio studio connect.

DC do you see another.

1918 in the horizon.

I do know I don't think it's -- 1980 where Reagan again won by ten points but I do think there's a real possibility.

That the folks at -- go back that 444646.

A real possibility that folks are gonna say.

We gotta try something new.

We gets can't go with what we've gone -- the last four years.

America can do better than this and this is a Smart guy he's done great in the debates he shown himself to be a reasonable but tough character.

So I think we're gonna go him I think there's a possibility you could get.

A 52.

To 49 the -- 48 election.

-- Romney side.

I -- I think that that's about as far as I think it could go on either side I would guess as of now Tom.

If I had to -- I would bet Romney wins the popular vote and it comes down to the electoral vote in Ohio.
