When a missile are an excellent program.

The -- Mike Emanuel Fox News from the White House -- -- my.

More -- area of -- flattener where are you this morning.

-- on the north lawn of the White House will be reporting from those morning.

Well we've got President Obama.

Gonna head up to the great state of New Jersey this morning to survey some hurricane damage with governor Chris Christie.

It's interesting dynamic because of course you know the Republican governor of New Jersey has been it.

Critic of the president over the years but on the hurricane response so far he is heaped praise on mr.

Obama.

Saying the president call them a bunch of times right after the hurricane hit gave -- Personal number here at the White House and -- has has welcomed the president with open arms to come up to New Jersey says he wants to talk to the president about getting the Army Corps of Engineers into New Jersey to figure out how to better rebuild.

The Jersey Shore.

So the president's gonna do his comforter in chief role if you will today going up -- -- some damage in banking first responders and probably meeting if you storm victims as well.

Garcia politics and all of those has never lost even and then you know aftermath of this -- today and it certainly can -- Romney that.

That as you mentioned.

Chris Chris decision to present the the -- awhile law.

New Jersey is a blue started there was gonna don't democratic anyway have -- -- -- We're there'll controller who attempted -- on the rest of the country.

On the present performance what is an illustration the Chris Christie -- Is it is a dynamic because of course it takes the president off the campaign trail keeps -- from going.

Battleground states like Ohio Wisconsin and Florida Pennsylvania.

You name it but it does allow him to show the country.

Him in the job which he wishes to be reelected to.

And so that is the power of the incumbency.

And the edges that you have the job and you get to show people you can do the job.

The challenges that you obviously do have a day job which is extremely important after.

A a crisis of this magnitude.

President want to come to New York.

But to remember when lord instead of that cost and -- comment around a -- else about -- No I think folks here seem to understand that obviously New York got rocked by this terrible terrible storm and Mayor Bloomberg has its hands full and so they recognize that.

Bringing the president in with this Secret Service entourage and all the security that's involved with a presidential visit.

Could be challenging situation and so there -- happy to go to New Jersey and reference you know basically see what's happened to the greater.

Metropolitan area the New York region.

And comment on you know providing relief and making sure that federal assets get to those in need in new York and New Jersey.

Pennsylvania's well in the coming days.

Now famous response and this tragedy.

Has done.

I don't -- -- -- -- wasn't Katrina hadn't.

Well they're clearly seem to be lessons learned from from Katrina where you had failures on all levels of government essentially.

And so you can see the president immediately getting on the phone to the big state officials.

Very responsive state officials also so.

Not to heap all the blame on that the previous White House that's not for me to do but.

There is plenty of blame to go around with Katrina and so they're deathly seem to be lessons learned to both the local state and federal level -- -- you see this time around where.

There immediately getting money in there and you know obviously they'll be -- long term about how quickly the Jersey Shore -- how quickly Manhattan gets back to.

To work in that devastated community where where so many homes were burned in Queens.

How quickly they're able to rebuild and we'll see how they do long term but the initial response -- gotten pretty high marks from.

What I've seen and -- in and heard from people like Governor Christie and so -- -- definitely seem to be some lessons learned from years past.

Part of your point out it's on its earlier -- this.

And aftermath of this so.

We will -- but at least not airing complaints.

From anyone -- -- you have a -- to imagine doing for a while some massive outcry.

Complaints about their response.

To room during Hurricane Katrina.

Sold all of the president's leaving their win.

He leaves a little bit later this morning will fly up to the Atlantic City area will decent surveying with Governor Christie.

Then we expect your turn to the campaign trail full time.

Tomorrow.

Governor Romney is getting back out on the trail today making stops across Florida critical battleground state with.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush.

His running mate Paul Ryan is doing three stops in his home state of Wisconsin which has not been a battleground in years past it's been it's safe democratic state but with.

Paul Ryan on the ticket it looks to be a a hard fought close race there -- so the hometown guy he -- gonna make stops across the badger state.

Try to put it no win column for the Republicans next Tuesday cars -- -- it -- -- covers has doubled his.

On from my apartment airmen -- what -- metal doors.

You know there were rumors are essential.

-- there was some discussion.

Embodiment of change in the date of the election but that was number under serious consideration was.

Not from what I've heard I I have heard states you know say we're going to extend their early voting.

I believe Maryland has said that they're gonna extend early voting to make sure that those who want to vote ahead of Election Day have more opportunities to do so.

Certainly nobody wants to be accused of suppressing the vote.

But -- -- not heard serious consideration that it may take longer to count the ballots in some places that are still suffering from the hurricane.

You know a week later -- so but.

I think that's something that -- just have to deal with in the aftermath of such a huge.

Natural disaster that has rocked the East Coast.

All right -- honor goes in thank you.

Very much should take a guy and a good time to talk to Mike Emanuel Fox News the -- now.
