And our people there optimistic going forward about the response they getting not only from their governor but perhaps from FEMA.
And federal agencies.
Whether really too early to tell on that Adam but I tell you know -- one thing that they're thankful for is that you know hurricanes can come early in the season this -- come on late in the season take a look at what's behind me here.
-- this is a huge -- pleasure boat industry but it's a huge fishing industry out here as well.
Take a look at those fish nets that are all tangled beneath take a look at these -- -- -- the street until yesterday -- -- pushed him out of the street.
This is actually somebody's fishing net here you can see what thing.
What does happen to us bombing this is an industry that goes on all year round but -- is of course the pleasure boating industry is largely.
So good that it's happening now I guess some time to attitude to have some recovery but the guys that the do the fishing out there.
That's not gonna happen for awhile -- this entire coastline has been -- What are the immediate needs in Point Pleasant at this point you mention today -- your last report that the road is now open and is there an urgent need for water food supplies of that kind.
You know on the other it's it's a tale of two stories in Point Pleasant because right along the beach pointless beach.
That is just inundated with sand that there is no immediate need is to clear the streets I get the water out of the area.
This is just to joining the the tracks.
And you know then you begin this restore power -- there's the power back on.
The rest of the -- though is -- you know is up on higher ground and that doesn't have as many needs.
You know it's a thing about this it was a surge issue so where the surge hit.
Is badly damaged you get beyond that.
You know it was a category one storm in terms of wind so the damage to.
You know other structures and in other some trees down clearly -- power needs to be restored but beyond that.
That's that that's the focus.
And if you and I were talking as the storm approached about the fact that this would be a surge event surge event when you speak to people who have lost the most right there on the coast they talk about rebuilding or they have enough.
No you know -- by -- doctor got this morning just on the way out of the hotel who said -- you know we've been worried for this for a long time goes on my dad used to talk about.
-- And so you know I think they knew that the sword was hanging over them for a long time and and now they've had it.
But they're rated Iraq they're ready to get back its I don't get a sense of like oh my god we've been.
You know way let's move I don't get that sense and I do get that from some communities you know get -- -- now after the last one.
There's a lot of people there say you know what if this is my life.
This is not the life I want.
I'm not getting that sense on the Jersey Shore all.
