-- to get a days ago before the election we have the latest numbers from Rasmussen.

The latest daily tracking presidential tracking poll shows that governor Romney has 49%.

President Obama 47%.

Scott Rasmussen joins us now by phone.

Scott I think the main question at this point it looks like this -- momentum -- -- The race has been pretty stable you know governor Romney had a good move after his first debate performance took the lead nationally made a lot of gains in some swing states.

And -- -- seven change too much since then it's still very close it would based light is the governor Romney nationally and it may all come down to two states Ohio and Wisconsin.

Speaking of of which those polls in -- and over the weekend.

You got a lot of competition I don't cut -- boys I've every heard of before but it seems to be a zillion of one polls that give conflicting information.

How how are you -- about those two key swing states right now.

I think both of them are too close to all if I had to guess I think Wisconsin -- old little better for the Republicans -- -- a little better for the Democrats.

Well I look at all the polls that are out there in Ohio the rate the numbers ranged from -- very from even.

To a very slight Obama lead.

But in none of them or very few of them as the president over the 50% mark so it looks like you know he's maybe 474849%.

And that means neither side can feel very confident.

In Ohio.

The president is clearly leading among the early voters which is fairly typical.

Governor Romney benefiting from much more enthusiasm.

From those who plan to vote and you know that's going to be really get -- -- those people little old.

Does -- before -- ago this storm hurricane sandy.

As there any chance it could have an impact on the outcome of next week's election.

You know like I guess -- a close election and they think could have an impact but since some of the Jersey Shore I'm more concerned about what it's gonna do in the next 48 hours but I am a week from tomorrow.

I hear -- a member -- will stay safe out there will talked isn't it.
