Thanks.
We are expecting the youth vote to go heavily for present -- bomber in the election.
66%.
To vote is on the thought he voted for the president that was back in 08.
We -- can't figure out what.
I'll give -- thirty seconds -- from the get go give me thirty seconds on why.
New graduates.
Should vote for President Obama go how can they not vote for President Obama.
Well okay that was young Democrat and an assessment may be a young Republican can explain it joining me now is Charlie -- -- nineteen years.
He's the founder all of the turning point alright Charles welcome to the program I want you to answer the question.
Why.
Does a large minority a militant majority he's suddenly a plurality.
Of young people intend to vote for president -- -- in this election.
You know at first I -- a confused by it but then I started to realize in this election it's much different than in 2000 name.
Students and present Obama likes to talk a big game that hits -- three major coalitions.
The youth vote women and Latinos but the youth vote is dwindling I've been across midwest we -- at the University of Wisconsin Madison yesterday.
And the 2008 craze of students supporting President Obama in droves it's not the same cities are disillusioned 50% of college graduates cannot find work in the field a degree that it started in and the 2008 alt rock around Obama craze is dwindling I got shipped.
But there is still a plurality of young people voting for Obama in this election thirteen days from now and it's still a plurality is -- It's seems to be that that that way and polls but we have to look at a very special indication that is enthusiasm enthusiasm gap is -- down and wasn't 2008 and also the multiplier effect in effect that.
A lot of younger voters are not knocking on doors the way they were infidels and it.
They might be voting for President Obama but they're not nicely recruiting more voters like they were in 2000.
Europe you -- -- Republicans you know -- -- like under a bushel and -- knows where you come in from.
-- -- reception do you get amongst all the young people when you reveal yourself to be a Republican.
-- -- try to come across sometimes from an independent perspective -- and generic on fiscal issues and I say look.
This president has accumulated five trillion dollars in new debt the last four years that's debt that my generations have to pay off.
And in essence that's generational theft it's it's -- by Washington.
And this president has not put forth a comprehensive plan to solve it okay have you feel about the debt we just got about a story that in the last fifty days national -- -- 200 billion dollars.
You gonna have to pay for that -- -- deal.
-- we will have to pay for eventually because in interest and the debt down the road.
The children -- Smart and have to pay for the mistakes that today and if Washington -- not get their fiscal house in order.
A we're gonna have to pay Ford eventually and it its its.
Unfortunate that Washington continues to borrow at such obscene trillion dollar deficit levels but let me try to answer for you with the original question I asked why is a plurality of young people gonna vote for the president in -- in this election.
My answer would be social issues -- more important to young people rather than tax and economic and job issues.
The morning phone because they.
They're very much in line and in tune with gay marriage.
Very much in tune with abortion policy for the present and very much in tune with free contraception for all women.
I think that's why a plurality vote for the president -- I would agree to an extent correct and I also think that the Republican Party.
Has not framed it in economic terms laws -- -- -- they've attempted to make it about the debt the deficit but they -- even go a step further and say.
This economy is in shambles our fiscal house is not being balance and the generations it's -- have to pay up.
Trillions of dollars of debt before they're even able to cast a vote and I think you're correct the younger generations look at certain issues.
And they say oh well I support gay marriage therefore I have to support the president.
But it we're not balancing our budget.
Marriage should not be the number one issue in this country we have to balance our budget and understand the fiscal climate -- this country is and before.
And I I would agree that the younger generation of time would vote more -- -- social side and rather fiscal side we have to make them understand the fiscal issues.
Before -- just voting for socialists take Charles -- we're having come back and join us and maybe after the election I wanna find out what that vote to have a split laws in the -- Charles thank you very much in this project.
