-- back last summer Mitt Romney released a 59 point plan for growing jobs in America.
Like I didn't hear about.
Well it's not too surprising.
The media largely ignored it too complicated for the nightly broadcast and a little too dense predatory or writers.
Ultimately the -- -- that his talking points and just by the here they are he wants energy independence more trade.
Better education wants to cut the deficit -- small business.
Last night last night the president released his plan for growing jobs with just two weeks before the election.
I guess no time like the president here's Obama's list.
Energy independence.
Encourage small business cut the deficit better education systems.
Does it sound familiar.
As we settle a little earlier in the show the president unveiled his -- last night there's an online copy that I printed.
Here it is.
Now that's.
Sounds familiar think WellPoint energy independence I wanna encourage small business cut the deficit better education not -- -- -- the difference between the two right.
Now not only does Obama claim these are his goals but he says that.
He's already accomplished many of them are is on the way to accomplishing them but the reality is something different.
Let's start with manufacturing no doubt about it more manufacturing jobs will be glad.
And the president says he has created 500000 jobs over the past 31 months.
Close he's actually created 480000.
During the period that.
Why just look at 31 months since the president's been in office more than 45 months.
Using that if -- aren't sick manufacturing jobs have shrunk by 6101000.
Shops.
That's right Obama brags he's increased net oil imports by 30% true enough.
But if he was serious about ending our reliance on Middle East oil -- in the -- -- candidates keystone XL pipeline.
Not only would that -- transported hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil from Canada but it would have created as many as 20000.
Jobs.
Then Obama says he wants to cut the deficit by four trillion dollars.
Well that wouldn't undo the damage of its first term when Obama deficits total more than 45 trillion dollars.
But the record here isn't good too much spending not enough cutting back.
I can go -- but you get the point this little pamphlet that I showed you earlier feels more like a piece of fiction than a real roadmap for getting America back to work.
After all its claim Obama -- would increase employment isn't mile warranty as one -- put it.
The Congressional Budget Office says Health Care Reform alone would cost 800000 jobs.
The truth is this administration has settled -- middling performance when it comes to the economy.
The president seems -- okay with 23 million of us unemployed or under employed.
46 million Americans are on food stamps and the economy can't -- -- inch too much past 1% growth.
Can -- to better than this I -- think we can let's set the bar higher.
