Do of this next guest Marco Rubio the -- senator from that.
Find state just to show you up popular Marco Rubio it's and I always somehow mistake this would fans of mine.
But he showed -- the early he's always very prompt and which by the way.
Makes you stand out among your colleagues.
He made the mistake of showing up here early not good not good because he was deluged but he was very polite grace's little -- argue that it.
My my favorite question is when asked me can you please react to the debate pretend to have debate are ready to have that fact that it -- get the story about by eleven I think of -- a lot things that psychic anyone of them.
Sorry what did you think of the debate that and afterwards a parent I think -- -- OK a lot of pressure.
On both candidates they are given is more on.
Did the president does this is his strength foreign policy right and and not -- Ronald do you agree whether.
I don't I mean look I think the president is an experienced debater.
He's a good talker and we know that about the president our problem is not that he doesn't give -- -- -- -- promise that is foreign policy does not concise and he has not articulated in the four years he's been president.
A clear view what America's role in the world should be one by the way that's -- -- both compelling and effective.
And that's part of the problem with the foreign policy is that it's not organized around they call -- View of America's role in the world I saw somewhere that's going to be one of the questions tonight -- the president's gonna have to answer that.
In -- Romney's gonna have to articulate sure busy right and that they argue was that he botched it when trying to explain the -- -- now.
It's always -- -- a boulder but Diddy.
Now I don't think so look I think the important thing about it is not.
I don't know why people say he -- at the reality -- -- is that.
Barack Obama spent fifteen days fifteen days -- American people that would happen and then Ghazi was a spontaneous uprising from the streets so -- not.
I that in the next -- were set -- terror.
He doesn't cut it for you haven't asked -- he said that one time -- set for fifteen days that it wasn't that not an act of terror that it was a spontaneous uprising.
He's such as United Nations ambassador to five Sunday shows to say that he spoke before the United Nations and said that.
He had brief first come to the congress and say that they spent two weeks on that even even though the evidence was clear and mounted.
Both an open source and intelligence that show that that was not the case.
Obvious economic issues can't not to Mark Bryant being.
Mitt Romney could train them in the context of our -- debt is a national securities who has generals and a Joint Chiefs of Staff over these many years and said.
Do you think he does he didn't -- it.
Look I think that the foreign policy issues and are related -- the economy I think it's a broad issue that involves.
What are people gonna look for tonight they're gonna want to see is Mitt Romney capable of being the commander in chief they're gonna find out tonight that he is.
He's an excellent decision maker that's make great decisions and every aspect of his life.
He's make great decisions and its role -- governor and even in this camp -- -- great decisions and the most important that you need from their commander in chief they be a good decision maker.
And I think if you look at the foreign policy issues there intricately related to the economic issues look at -- out -- the question tonight about Latin America and the Western Hemisphere.
Because -- extraordinary opportunities which which we have walked away from over the last four years because of a lack of coherent policy from the press.
Do you include trade deals that the president's been hot and cold on look I think that we.
Look at the free trade agreement with Colombia Panama and South Korea.
It took two and a half years to get that for a while -- couldn't get the White House to even care about that.
There are other opportunities what about an energy.
Platform that we can create the United States Canada Mexico Brazil Colombia.
A -- Chavez Venezuela and it could displace the Middle East as the largest source of energy on the planet.
For years to -- Using that -- has to go I would just bigger ideas not just to critique divisions were out but it that he would see America going forward.
But I think -- -- I think what tonight is an opportunity to actually.
Say -- in front of a broad audience he's been talking about trade in Latin America since the early days of this campaign doesn't get a lot of coverage but I think tonight.
That issue get a lot of coverage so I think tonight is going to be great opportunity for Mitt Romney to talk about what he's been talking about from the beginning of this campaign.
Big ideas about foreign policy big ideas about America.
Senator let's talk about your state Florida right now polls so.
It's -- the governor as a slight lead.
But depending on on the reading but he's going surprisingly well with Latinos.
Which is diverts -- from -- you see and other states.
-- this ticket is surging but it's still 65357030.
It David the president but this state a lot more narrow what do you make of that.
Well couple things number one Florida house many Hispanic voters who may be registered a one party or the other but increasingly both for the best candidate not the political party.
And -- disproportionately hurt by this economy in the downturn in the economy you look at the statistics whether it's unemployment there.
For things like that at the Hispanic communities being disproportionately hurt by the economic downturn I think you're seeing that reflected in the polls here in Florida because Mitt Romney is offering a solution.
I think what's really hurting the president more than anything else is is complete failure to outline if a governing agenda for the next four years you look at the last two debates.
You look at this campaign over the last couple of months.
This from the president got states Barack Obama has failed to lay out an agenda for the next four years what is he gonna do different over the next four years to get right with so far it's -- wrong.
Didn't talk about any of those things that's hurt him among all voters but that's really hurt him among Hispanic voters who don't like negative campaigns.
I'm in general of the foreign policy think tonight's editor of the rap against Mitt Romney is that he gets too much of the weeds and doesn't present disparate visions.
You -- -- who does he.
Have to do not as they say whether he would go to war with a -- To speak to do different tidbit I guess the only what.
To secrecy factor than is sort of that -- -- while -- does he need to present a bigger view but we talked about.
Emphasize American exceptional isn't some people interpret that is like BS.
Not a lot of personal American socialism historical fact and are gonna have a debate now on all of my friends on the left -- -- -- Disagree with me about whether America is truly exceptional I believe they're wrong we can have that debate anytime they want.
But as far as Mitt Romney is concerned I think there's two things that are important here.
Number one is that it's important understand that many of the reasons why the situations gotten where it's gotten is because of the decisions that this administration made.
Early on in it's administration.
He thought -- by going to the Middle East the president was gonna -- these great speeches and all of a sudden a Middle East would turn into our favor because people.
He would be able to persuade them -- the way was able to persuade voters in the United States.
He completely misread the situation this kind of view has been out there with George Bush tough -- I just -- -- steady -- what it's not just say that there's a conflict in place here between folks that want the world to live like them.
And they see the United States is standing in -- way if your Islamic fundamentalism you don't want women to go to school you don't want girls to -- -- go to school you don't want women to be able to drive they hate our freedoms they hit our.
Democracy and they see the United States is a force for that in the world so they didn't try to lash out as -- try to drive us out of the region.
But the president unfortunately took office have bought into this notion that the reason why the Middle East is the way it was.
But because we were mean to them because they didn't like George Bush but they would like him and therefore their policy would be better.
And the result -- you look at what happened in Iran had a fraudulent election.
The people of Iran took to the streets to protest.
And what's the president Barack Obama do he did nothing he said I'm not gonna interfere -- -- gonna put on an economy due to distinguish himself tonight well now you are well first of all all the options we -- about four years ago have been lost because of the president's failure to take them when they were there.
Moving forward I think we all want to avoid war armed conflict should be the last solution to be the last alternative of all of them are in place and by the way.
That that the firmer UR and leaving that option on the table -- less likely you are gonna have an armed conflict.
But I'll hope president made -- clarion and another I -- -- -- economic let's go back six months of as we were working in the senate I'm trying to get a bipartisan package.
A sanctions against Iran the White House is trying to water them down every step of the way every concession.
But the senate the house had to make for sanctions on Iran.
-- concessions to the White House lawn watering them now I wish we had a president.
That would lead on sanctions rather than try to undermine or weaken the sanctions would be in a much stronger position right now.
Final question which is into the debate.
-- up up up -- -- about the first half I think that I don't go the same I'm hopeful senator Marco Rubio thank you very much.
