Or to get our presidential debate -- number two will be tomorrow night here in -- new York and if you look at the latest battleground state poll out from Politico and George Washington.
University governor Romney taking a slight lead in these key states over President Obama Barbara Comstock joins a senior advisor to the Romney campaign is there one state -- -- the stands out -- you.
In the way -- move since the first debate.
Well I think you've seen key states like Florida.
Virginia and Ohio obviously three key critical states I'm in Virginia I -- in the state has there.
But we've seen all of the move but what we see more importantly is.
-- -- enthusiasm level I do a lot of retail politicking and and Virginia I was outdoor knocking on Saturday.
And how you know where the phone banks in and talking to people who are doing that every day.
We've just seen a real.
Surge of enthusiasm in people turning out.
Getting their friends having new people come to events this week we have.
I'm Paul Ryan is going to be in Virginia tomorrow and then Mitt Romney will be there on Wednesday of course you've seen them in Ohio emerged.
And Florida also is I think you see the crowd size is increasing.
And -- people really -- getting the hope that we can turn this economy around -- Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan to the people to do it they have a committed planned to do it right now people are really excited about we don't have to have this new normal things don't have to be this way.
So going into -- tomorrow night -- there is a challenge so the same time for governor Romney distant very little dispute that he won the first today.
But you'll see a different at least in -- I would assume president.
Obama tomorrow night is there anything -- was learned from the vice presidential debate in terms of the strategy that the president might take into -- Well I mean I'm you after the first debate when I was thrilled about it -- people saw the Mitt Romney I first met ten years ago and that I've known for ten years and seen an action.
-- a real problem solver -- it was early on task.
And is good and I think.
You know the Obama campaign will continue to attack but the fortunate thing now is the American people have seen that direct -- filtered view.
Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan and they understand -- these are two very competent individuals.
Who understand that we can turn the economy around did you know.
You -- -- unemployment rates that we've had for four years now and income going down 4500 gas prices doubling we've got a plan to turn that around in these -- the gentlemen to do it and they believe in the American people in their ability to just governor Romney have to NATO attack they'll do whatever they have to do -- -- Fortunately our guys can stay on task and you know.
-- the American people see them for they.
Competent.
You have committed individuals.
They are and make any adjustments in government does governor Romney have to make any given that.
The president will no doubt fire back more often mean the the Obama supporters -- -- they that he missed opportunities.
In the first debate that -- to set XY or Z and respondents said no governor -- that's not true this this and that it is the governor prepared if to defend himself but even though he's the challenge here because that kind of tables have turned a little bit since debate number one or because of debate over.
If anything is certainly is because he does that actually has vision for the future and positive as opposed to.
This president doesn't want to talk about his record for the past four years the president's abysmal.
You know when you've lost 4500 dollars on average income per family when -- senior gas prices double when you have.
401000.
Women who lost their jobs yet this president doesn't want to talk about his record he only wants to attack.
But I'm confident you know governor Romney will not only talk about his vision for the future but we'll talk about the failed record when you look at this deficit.
Obama said he would cut the deficit in half which would have -- five trillion instead it's sixteen trillion which is three times what he said he would do.
So when you're a failure by a factor of three times you don't have a record to run on and that's why you have to go on the attack so.
I think the American people see through that and -- state and laughing off the problems that way Joseph Biden did for people who are offended by -- I think women.
You know what we vaulting that guy in the office who wants to you know.
Who ignores the problems trying to talk over.
Somebody and other want to address the real issues I don't think he helped their cause at all.
And -- to town hall and we'll sell the format affects things such tomorrow night Barbara Comstock from the -- side of things thank you for joining us today.
