If it seems to me that we make much of these vice presidential debates they can be kind of by the interest being entertaining even.
But often don't amount to much is that.

Just getting warmed up is he gonna move out to a substantial lead is this race gonna state -- is the president -- reassert himself.
Right now what Joseph Biden is trying to do and demonstrate the Democrats were very unhappy with the president's performance -- That this ticket will attack and he needs to go out there and -- because of what Democrats are feeling he needs to get them fired up and he needs to go take the meat -- to Paul Ryan.
What are the things wrong that it's occurred over the world since the debate last last week.
At first there's this question about.
There was no -- about the fact that it just.
Foreign in the state job with President Obama -- -- of course when will there be a balance though even though he had dominated the evening historic wins by a margin.
Then there's the balance -- and then the question was -- about how big will it be.
It turns out to have been enormous and then the question was -- well let's be sustainable and now.
-- are in the next week offers a vice presidential debate it's still rolling them in the governor has and had a bad day on the polls sense and we are watching an extraordinary.
Reversal in fortune.
We are really -- and the thing -- -- strikes me I was out in Colorado yesterday and a lot of the folks that I spoke to yesterday said that they were going hands -- Obama supporters.
And actually sat down and watch the debate and they were appalled by the presence like -- preparation.
They were appalled by his demeanor on the stage and they said we can't have four more years of this and that the conventional wisdom is debates don't really matter.
Until they do matter and now this matters this matters because Paul Ryan is gonna go out needs to make the case as -- why governor Romney and he should be the president vice president.
The vice president current sitting vice president as a very tough right now because he can't really attack -- -- -- is one of their favorable aspects this ticket.
They go on too much the attack -- that was more favorably.
As as were showing their groups as you know our Enron.
The favorability ratings are four for the vice presidential nominee.
Congressman Ryan.
He he stands tall next to the to the vice president -- 51%.
Unfavorable rating.
In basically doesn't.
The base line tests for him.
The ultimate bar is.
To make governor Romney look good and having chosen him and sort of get out of the way after that.
Chris what do you think.
Yes and one other thing -- -- to look like somebody who people feel comfortable stepping in in being the president of the United States he reminds everybody feels about Joseph Biden.
These are great -- -- tear it down 42 years old.
And he's a member of the house that's not usually -- -- you see on a presidential ticket.
And he needs to look like he's somebody can step -- but the other thing and I think this is more a more important task for Paul Ryan tonight.
Joseph Biden is not vary widely respected figure as -- numbers there showed.
And he and four years ago he was a highly respected he was a white figure.
The four years have been very hard in four years in part in the public I have taken it serious troll on -- all of his gaffes all of his problems.
Tonight though Paul Ryan faces a guy who can still be warm who can still have a charming way about him.
Paul Ryan has to make sure that he doesn't get out.
Politician and on that stage.
Out affable.
Out affable yes.
If there's also another thing seems to me that that the congressman has to watch -- that is.
You know he loves to talk about the budget in the deficits but he's just about -- -- -- subject.
And and the fact is I wonder if there is very -- between his energy and his enthusiasm.
And some constraint in the desire for most of us to hear him speak about other topic -- the topics as well.
And to do so with fresh and new language and can he overdo the the youthful.
Enthusiasm.
And the what could quickly become on the budget sort of a Johnny one note to approach.
I think you can I've known him for over twenty years and he's a very funny guy obviously is very intelligent.
But he's more than one dimensional -- -- And I saw this as is opera just as -- the exact -- and the governor -- did last week.
Show a warm and different side of the personality and let them know that -- around one dimensional and that they win by doing that.
