For us a case it would more -- half of mobile users carrying -- Smart phone retailers and credit card companies are making big investments in the rise.

Of -- so called mobile wallets.

But -- consumers really ready to adopt this technology joining us -- Monahan executive vice president.

And director of mobile research at javelin strategy -- research companies -- she certainly an expert on this topic we're so pleased to have you married so.

I have to tell you I've read all kinds of data and research about this mobile payment technology yet I haven't seen a lot of it.

At work at companies actually -- in -- why is that.

Well they're significant barriers to the adoption of NFC mobile payments in the store.

-- seen blocking ballet the mobile network operators for example.

Verizon is blocked Google's wallets.

Because.

They say first -- they say it's for stated security concerns that.

Verizon also has its own mobile payments initiative crisis.

And crisis hasn't come out yet so.

They have -- own reasons for keeping it off.

Let -- understand Internet -- nature of things.

But what you know the security issue is not something to take lightly I mean we've also been covering these cyber attacks on financial institutions it's very concerning out there would need to sort of send your information center credit card information out there into the Internet -- the eat -- sphere so how can you.

Sort of make people feel confident and secure and get this technology going.

That's straight about 44% of consumers are worried about that's that's one of the top.

Concerns that are keeping consumers from adopting mobile payments and went we we asked consumers what would make them feel more safe and secure it.

-- they talk about certain brands and he says and PayPal come to the top that list.

But they also say that we look at big customers.

They say their own financial institution makes them feel safest like twice -- safe.

So it's sort of like they may feel.

A little bit -- to down and banks right now but right not when it comes to their own particular bank.

-- it really is this technology to so called mobile wallet where you have actual device plug into your Smartphone whether that.

Merchant is using it or you have one personally to make purchases are on my and is it really more convenient.

Definitely and then we're going to be seeing more.

Different types of offerings so we have such a great way of making payments in the US with cards and so that's not gonna be enough.

They're going to need act to add additional services so what we're going to see are things like apple is doing with.

-- -- where when you walk into that airport your tickets are going to pop up on year on year -- street.

And when your -- changes stock's gonna pop up as well.
