As a report by the house intelligence that committee that make some very substantial charges against.

The company while way which is the second largest Telecom company in the world and a representative -- -- -- joins us now bill Plummer.

Don't you said that in this report there is disinformation.

About the that a company can you be specific.

Well I wish I could be a bit more specific because.

In fact -- the report doesn't even have enough substance to to find the disinformation.

It since it's simply a list of allegations look.

There are two basic facts.

That expose this report for the portal political exercise and it is one of those while way is an employee owned company.

That is respected and trusted.

By -- -- 500 operators around the world including the major operators throughout Europe and Asia and elsewhere tell when -- -- -- -- -- -- 111.

Or more one more thing.

Our products.

The quality and the integrity and the security of our products is world proven that it's a fact that cannot be ignored.

You are doing business in a lot of countries but not Australia in fact Australia's government -- you guys from bidding on a high speed national network because.

They had concerns about cyber attacks that were coming out of China.

And and then you know when you look at the actual report here in the United States.

Some of the allegations and again -- -- allegations are that.

You've got members of the government inside your company and Chinese Communist well I mean I would imagine that Chinese that are run China's run by Communists and -- -- ex employees of the government working at a company that's not a big deal you might see that here.

It's just that that brings up concerns about whether you guys are not somehow putting in these so called back doors so that you can then -- and -- And that sensitive government contracts shouldn't be offered up to you guys.

Well in the case of Australia while -- actually counts as customers every major operator in Australia on our network -- is already deployed in Australia not at the government level.

In terms of the national broadband network decision that was made it was unfortunate.

But of the twelve national broadband projects underway globally -- involved in nine of them including in the UK New Zealand and elsewhere.

The argument that there are in -- somehow vulnerability is inside of -- way that are unique has never been substantiated by the committee it's nothing but allegations based on allegations but here's the kicker.

Here's the kicker.

When this investigation launched the committee expressed a concern for protecting our cyber security.

And they and launched an investigation on two companies headquartered in China as opposed to the six companies that are building and coding and developing product in China.

If the committee we're serious.

About wanting to protect cyber security.

They would be looking at.

While Y and ZTE and Cisco and Eriksson and Nokia Siemens and Alcatel Lucent.

And and caught acknowledging the common supply chains between all of these companies and acknowledging the common vulnerabilities.

And then proposing solutions to address them.

Anything else is a political exercise and a distraction.

And in indeed a reckless distraction.

From actually addressing the real concern it creates a false sense of security -- built.

Very quickly in the in the report it does say that the committee has received information.

From former and current while way employs suggesting that wall way.

In particular may be violating United States laws have they told you what laws it is they think you were violating.

We have C.

We do know that last week there were a flurry of phone calls from the committee staffers.

Two former and current -- -- employees asking them lists of questions.

Begging to get some sort of information.

We assume that it was that last minute flurry of phone calls that produced this these allegations but we haven't seen them because in the committee hasn't chosen to share them.

Bill Plummer from while way bill we appreciate you coming and answer the charges the charges.

-- could the concerns are real.

But again the substance has not been -- out in this committee report I have to give you.

Give your say on that but please come back and talk to us again -- as we get more details which it.

Absolutely thank you.
