-- -- -- today Steve Jobs died since then apples every move has been under an even larger microscope.

The stocks' been on terror but the company while its most racially getting slammed for problems with that apple maps -- -- Inside apple Auburn Adam Lashinsky says there were also and small problems under Steve Jobs is watch as well.

But you know what the company was so successful people didn't really notice it or they didn't really care.

And you know Adam you know one thing I always worried about was Tim Cook getting the you know Steve Jobs sort of got the benefit of the -- I remember many earnings reports where.

This metric was offer that mantra goes off and somehow Steve Jobs always got the benefit of the doubt.

And maybe they did that initially would -- but it does -- selected going in anymore.

You know I would I would have a sort of add to what you said Charles Steve Jobs.

-- -- aided the Bennett the benefit of the doubt right so it was this reality distortion field it was this -- his ability.

His uncanny ability to get us to focus on what he wanted us to focus on that was one of his many many great abilities -- charms.

It if you will so.

Apple did things like had a bad email service mobile media that up failed computer the Q.

It had antenna gate when the antenna didn't work on many iPhone fours -- jobs had the temerity to say well people aren't using it correctly.

These were all small mistakes that are roughly analogous to maps that happened under -- but he got us to focus elsewhere and really importantly as you said earlier.

-- a lot smaller than the stakes were smaller it's all more important now.

And and the word that he is I find interest in years temerity because with this apple maps problem.

Apple's actually come out apologized or you know something I -- do -- -- a lot of people were saying maybe that was a mistake Steve Jobs wouldn't -- done that way.

-- I've I've heard that and I've I've I've given that some thought it I find it extremely difficult to criticize.

Can -- for having the you know the courage and the class to -- to apologize to customers.

For problem and I understand with the criticism is -- shows weakness Steve Jobs never showed weakness.

You know -- a company this size the most valuable company in the world operating on a much more global scale.

Then apple ever has before I can personally only applaud the CEO for saying we screwed up we're gonna fix it.

Go use -- competitors product until we do fix it.

I just think that's a good thing all I will say this though are you right -- I know you watch the stock.

The lately I don't like the way it's acting it's looking really funny everyone's got 900000.

Dollar targets on -- Libya Iraq is really seen.

Extraordinarily vulnerable as a broad market's been up.

Is that a sign to you that perhaps the street is ready to step away.

And say you know what you had a big run the stakes are high into your point -- -- may be too high for you guys to clear this hurdle.

Well I've got almost nothing to say about you know any stack -- on a sort of five day fifteen day twenty day format I will point out to you that after -- last earnings report.

The stock traded down it was stopped it was in the doldrums people -- negative -- -- because.

I think if I remember correctly they slightly -- there are other revenue estimate.

And what happened in the next.

Six weeks or so the stock started creeping up as people started anticipating the success.

Of a new iPhone introduction which is exactly what happened the stock was way higher than it was -- so.

Wall Street always -- funny about Apple's stock which continues to be.

Relatively inexpensive on any normal -- -- in terms of its behavior.

Boy that's your that's your expertise Charles not my.

Before -- let you go Adam you know this company just about better than anybody else and and they had that it's jobs swagger.

And and do you think they will make that transition them from the from the Steve Jobs swagger that obviously everyone there had to you know sort of adopt.

Yeah to the more humble company that apparently Tim Cook is gonna make it from here on out do you think the company itself the people that work there.

Are prepared to make that transition.

It's great question and and the -- question is isn't I I think the transition is to -- situation.

Where they have both so we know -- humbler from this apology we know they issued a dividend which of great interest to investors like you this was something Steve Jobs hated.

And Coke essentially said to investors I respect the fact that you want to dividend I don't know what to do with a 118 billion dollars so.

I'm GNU I'm gonna graduate dividend.

So the question is can they do those things while retaining the swagger.

I will tell you there is still plenty of swagger inside that company the interesting thing to watch will be to see if they can you know being bipolar in that respect.

All right -- do you are the man.

On many things including -- -- appreciate it.
