York it's all about -- -- current Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu warning.

The United Nations and Iran is dangerously close to producing a nuclear bomb and the international community needs to know when to say when.

But these are the facts.

If these are the facts.

And they -- Where should a red line be drawn.

A red line should be drawn.

Right here.

Before.

Before we -- completes the second stage of nuclear enrichment.

Necessary to make a -- But despite the -- eminent threat from Iran Netanyahu now suggest an action can wait as late as next morning after.

The US election joining me now former US ambassador to the United Nations -- -- in the -- campaign and a Fox News contributor John Bolton.

So what do you make of of the fact that he seems to have been backing off just a little bit on the timing do you think that -- now knows or thinks.

But is gonna get former years the President Obama well I think he sent a slight signal.

But an important one to the president that there will not been attacked before the US election.

And a signal the governor Romney that there won't be an attack before an auger for the inauguration day on January the twentieth of next year.

But I don't think it's a huge shift if you if you take spring is beginning at the Vernal equinox on March the twentieth that's not much beyond what he was talking about before.

Do you think so that Israel still is do you think -- they're serious about making a strike against Iran we've heard these threats for years.

Into the rhetoric is kind of stepped up a little better especially -- that red line but he just -- road I think it's.

Do you think it's possible the -- well what what we know is that twice before in its history Israel has struck adversaries with nuclear weapons program Iraq in 81 in Syria in September of 07 so I think the precedent is there.

I think Israel would clearly prefer to have the United States do it because our capabilities are so much greater but I think they recognize under Obama.

Either up until the election or if he wins a second term it won't happen and that's why they have to think about.

Do you think that we can expect any -- policy shifts between now and the election I mean campaign season -- the Middle East has become.

Frankly a ticking time bomb for her all of the countries in the region not just for Iran and for Israel wants the Palestinians for series a Libyans -- -- Do you think that anything changes at a Washington.

Not not in the United States although events in the region are moving very rapidly.

This -- -- well I agree but I don't think it's gonna happen before the election I think the president's got his game plan and he's not gonna follow -- -- indicated.

In his famous comment that bumps in the road losing four Americans killed in Libya.

And the riots a sweeping the region he just not gonna pay attention to -- he he wants to get past member of the six and then he'll worry about.

-- give us Susan Rice say (%expletive) and make it past November I didn't know I mean no more talk about her being the next secretary of state.

But if you like -- on her now because of what has been reported a loss for eight hours of the administration didn't know that that was a terrorist attack in Lydia -- make a lot of.

She's gonna need to explain that not my theory is that she was told by the White House.

Congratulations.

You've drawn the short -- you're going out on the Sunday talk shows and give this line.

Otherwise I can't explain why Hillary Clinton wasn't the gas.

That Sunday she's the secretary of state she's the one with the responsibility.

And yet she was completely invisible.

Okay.

Kinda throwing in big question here but if it wasn't Susan Rice.

As secretary of state who do you think will be a good candidate John.

Well I'm not sure there are any good candidates -- -- Obama administration but I think the next most likely candidate is Senator John Kerry the current chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Obama knows him from his time in the senate he thought he was gonna get in the first term before Hillary got it.

I think it's -- quite likely be one of those two are right and real quick before I let you go Syria but that the situation continues.

-- to head down held to think that we're gonna get any more involvement -- the we're gonna get more involved because the Russians are very involved right now.

Out of the Russians are propping up the aside regime so as a run their prepared to shed a lot of Syrian blood before that goes down.

I don't think the president will do anything before November the sixth the rebels are having some success is in the past weeks while we've been otherwise occupied.

But the best prescription I -- at this point is simply more fighting and more killing as far as the -- considered -- ambassador thank you very much been great to have you all of -- this characteristic thank you John thank you.
