All right Nicole thank you we're gonna back to these live pictures -- here in new York city of the protesters gathered outside the United Nations.

The sets the Iranian president Mahmoud oxygen a -- set to address the general assembly inside.

The UN we have the former Delaware senator I'd say hello.

-- -- right now how to Wilmington Delaware today I guess opposition to Iran obviously a knock wood -- into the job particular something.

Both sides politically here in the US can agree on senator what do you make of the fact that that he's even speaking today it's it's young -- for the day of atonement the Jewish.

Religion very very important holy day nears -- we did a -- on the world stage.

That is hey he's obviously trying to get attention did this -- reviled by much the people in the world.

-- going good news are gonna say is this is probably his last appearance on the world scene at least as far as New -- concerned.

But did that -- trying to figure out what this guy's doing is just something that that it's hard to figure except he's always looking for around for attention and I -- promises right now.

Many times we mistake infamy for her famous infamous this -- infamous -- think he's not time yet he talked about.

Health we talk about -- our elections he's talked about how Iran is better off than when he took over he claims that gives you say he may be honest his way out we'll see but I want to talk to you'll need a better way out.

Powell yes I want to talk to you a little bit about how this is affecting and foreign affairs in general are affecting -- our presidential.

Election.

As a Democrat a President Obama who receiving a lot of criticism for not meeting this week at the general assembly at the UN where world leaders what's your view on that do you think he should have.

Right.

Audience that -- -- look we're -- that season right.

When the season -- whatever you do the other side's gonna say it's wrong I met with Bibi Netanyahu a number of times there's.

There's no real problem between our government and the Israeli government.

We have the present -- -- the defense minister.

The point out that we have one of the best the best relationship between Israel United States securities and ever had right we have operation cast the operation to iron dome.

Which allows that the folks in this in the US and Israel to be protected from these rockets so I know I think it's one of those things that say if say -- it's election year meeting with.

No all hardly any put world leaders on the in the week of the UN general assembly don't think that's a fair political criticism from the other -- to say listen.

The president you should at least sit down with a few there's a lot going on our world -- you don't think that's fair.

Now.

Yet no I don't think it's fair because he keeps good communications for the rest of the world I think our relations with the rest the world.

Have been better in a long time.

When I trowel around the world is United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee people were very very pleased with what the administration was doing -- respect the president.

And the rest that's that's not that I thought were never a presence there were in the last what forty some days -- a presidential campaign that's that's the high priority okay let's talk of.

About that a little bit before we let together Republicans would have said hey look at the on interment rate under President Obama and -- -- stayed so high and above 8% and this -- Quote unquote our year we should be able to do what we look at the polls the 1 this morning the times and and CBS and it's a big lead for President Obama at least and that poll and some of these -- -- -- states.

But again high unemployment are you surprised.

That the polls have swung as much as they have -- these key swing states to present Obama this year.

Well I'm surprised by -- it happens in politics especially presidential politics but I've been saying for about a year now.

If on Election Day people who -- the voting Booth and say this is a choice between.

That the President Obama and Republican candidate -- the press the the present will probably win if people wanted to post Election Day and say there's a referendum.

Well the last four years than the President Obama probably lose and what's happened over the last -- several months is more more people begin to question.

The credentials of Romney and therefore it turns into a choice I think in that case the president is doing very -- well I must say I never expected to see Apollo.

In this election that said the president's -- better -- -- handle the economy than Republican challenger.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Suggests in some of those states that -- or that he'll actually win -- say but I like tunnels but.

What real quick senator we thought it.

I just -- -- these numbers are pretty widespread they're pretty consistent as the trend and I -- and that again and again happened last forty days but.

IE I would if I were Romney campaign I would be very concerned about those numbers in Ohio right Pennsylvania Florida Michigan where they're they're very scary numbers for -- for around.

Governor Romney set thank you send -- is gonna say he may not win Ohio by ten but the trend is certainly been in his favor senator Kaufman thank you very much for joining us is always -- hey Connell.
