Next guest says instead of comparing President Obama -- governor Romney it's more revealing to compare Obama with.

Obama contrasting the -- Record vs his rhetoric starting with his pledge to -- more transparency in government.

Joining us tonight Thomas -- senior fellow the Hoover institution.

And after the recent -- trickle down theory and tax cuts for the rich and syndicated columnist.

Great to have you with -- Thomas let's start with.

-- love the idea of Obama be Obama because.

It is you.

Put it I mean the idea that transparency was going to open this government happened in something quite difference happens as.

Oh absolutely.

I think the classic -- the Obama care.

We're still far from being presented to the public for several days on the Internet as he said he would do.

Always felt rushed through congress so there's even the congressman.

Admitted they had had time to read it they just passed the -- -- ago.

So.

One of many great contrast between what he said and who's gonna doing what he actually.

And and now -- -- there is at least in the offing.

The prospect of Obama be Obama be Obama should he when -- a second term.

How reliable is this man in doing what he says he's going to do in your judgment.

I think you're unity.

You know about a batting average if you took the opposite of what he said as what he was gonna do.

What's scary is if he -- -- active you'll probably have at least one and probably a couple of Supreme Court nominations may.

As -- -- said in his off the record comments to the Russian president and you know he will no longer have to face the voters again.

And so considering how willful he's been thus -- you imagine.

If feed that doesn't happen it hear what the -- -- anymore.

You do all kinds of things.

And I know no way to stop -- Short of impeachment or military coup you know as you Britain and the idea that this man.

Who seemed in in some respects through to embrace every facet.

American.

Government.

And our constitutional republic.

I subway is ruling by fiat we're almost -- no comment.

From the national liberal media today it's it is stunning and there seems to be little reaction amongst the electorate.

I know as I T I can't they have any president in my lifetime.

With the possible exception of Franklin D.

Roosevelt early on -- who could do almost anything and they would be no complaints about it.

The sooner FBR you know by the 1940s.

Was getting a lot of heat from a lot of love a lot of sources.

But this -- seems to -- these -- Teflon.

That Teflon and you have written that also that.

-- Romney needs to understand very clearly.

That he's got to attack the the central charge of the Obama campaign.

And that is he's all about the rich at the expense of the pork he being wrong.

How should he respond to that charge.

First of all people should stop believing that when you raise tax rates on anybody ritual war.

That means you're gonna get more tax revenues.

There have been many cases -- 11997.

When they cut the capital gains tax for example.

And the amount of capital gains revenue that they receive the next four years went up.

From what the projections were put under the old rate for almost twice what the projections have been on the -- rate.

I mean people do not automatically pay -- over the tax rate is there are so many ways -- from.

Tax free municipal bonds to simply -- your money -- of the country's.

That there is Gloria molecular -- going to be inconvenienced by raising tax rates on.

-- will be hurt by the most will undoubtedly be the people who looking for jobs when the jobs have been driven out of the country to other countries.

Look to a state that the high tax rates and by -- I don't mean -- by historic stands I mean -- -- compared to what what they -- all the countries.

Thomas thanks for being here hope you'll come back soon good talking -- -- --
