-- -- welcome back.
That you know if it is the conventional wisdom is the Mitt Romney's -- -- horrible week.
And yet he's not really behind that much in the polls.
And here we have the president going on the view and going on Letterman.
It is it possible that governor Romney is just too nice and he's not playing good politics.
Well you forgot about Obama is important interview with pimp with a limp as well so yet -- that under the list.
You know I I think that this president's engaging and sort of an American Idol type campaign and I and I think at some point.
He's gonna have to get serious about being the leader of this country I mean today for example.
As you alluded to that I was slightly second run outlook I hate to and I hate to a drop the matter runs a Republican Party boss.
His policy that the strategy of President Obama is winning.
He's taken attention away from the debt and Obama cash and the weak economy and on the employment.
He's appealing for his -- so why -- -- we have someone anything.
He -- -- is that -- -- that winning isn't one any thing I mean the fact that a matter is after the week that you alluded to.
He's says tests statistically tie it.
In the polls I mean we've we've got to pull out this morning that shows that.
But -- -- three points ahead we have one Rasmussen shows that were one point up and Gallup is tied.
I -- the fact isn't me it's still it's still a long campaign we've got four debates coming right we've got two jobs reports coming.
And I think that this is gonna come down to bread and butter Stuart Wilson bank of thankfully right David letter this -- -- Thankfully debates are finally going to be upon I think -- maybe people are gonna suddenly start to focus on the issues instead of on the surface and Stewart is alluding to but here's my question.
A lot of people Republicans included want Mitt Romney to be more aggressive and take on President Obama.
But it's my understanding that the strategists are telling him to remain neutral because that would be more favorable with the independence is that -- -- telling him to do.
And well for -- that I'm not telling them is that what you -- -- -- giving him the orders so.
But I would tell you that that's not everything I've seen it's its actually not true.
And in fact I was in the opposite is true I think that in fact that if you look over the last few days at least especially if you go back to.
I think at least last week I think that if anything the campaign is ratcheted -- As far as being aggressive being on offense charging up the hill.
I would say that I think this tragedy campaign as win every day understand the mission today.
Win today make the case today win tomorrow win the next day win the week.
Go under the debates make the contrast.
And ultimately.
Give this country a choice between two futures you've heard this many times -- -- -- but I just tell you.
I think that campaign is very well poised to consistently.
Present the choice.
I Barack Obama I mean is that cradle to grave that -- -- but and -- freedom and liberty and and and what we believe.
-- granted he's got the establishment media governor Robert flat out against.
Understood I mean -- formerly supportive of President Obama got it.
But you can't tell me that Mitt Romney can deliver a still left -- line with -- real -- and aggression.
You can't put the non -- candy I'm here and to use this this kind of on the -- sort of -- what I mean.
-- a minute it feel it will you'll see.
I mean the fact is -- I think if you go back to the primary debates I think Mitt Romney -- did a very good job of of performing.
-- important opportunities when it when it counted and I think -- -- risen to the occasion.
The fact is we know that Barack Obama's a skilled debater and -- -- order and this is his bread and butter but -- but I think that.
Mitt Romney is going to be very prepared to make the contrast to show the difference between him and Barack Obama give America -- choice I think ultimately.
This is going to come -- do not just the economy but it's also going to come on the broken promises and I think we've got a complete.
Disaster going on and on Barack Obama's watch in the Middle East yes is gonna to answer Fred that's an on national security is coming into the debate right -- us.
We look forward -- that first debate October -- -- I believe it is that will be next week.
And we appreciate being with -- strikes come as soon as again place to stuff thank -- --
