Gonna stay on this topic for our viewers because even though apple -- just talked about this record sales -- its iPhone -- the weekend over the weekend.
You heard Nicole.
This is below a lot of Wall Street's estimates the stock is taking a hit for that right now.
The stock is down.
Nine dollars 73 cents the company is struggling with supply and there is a lot of demand out there for the iPhone 5.
Is that enough -- for shareholder Scott Sutherland from -- -- securities.
Is here now this got so I guess I'm the last hour saying basically that this is the most aggressive apple is ever Ben.
When it comes to all roll out of a product the iPhone 5 it did they may be get too aggressive this time around.
-- I think when we look at the aggressive roll out the initial launches in the similar number countries.
Just a new versions of the sell more than 25% more than the iPhone four S.
I think -- great sales I know analysts had numbers as high as ten million we're thinking maybe -- eight million we have six million our model currently so there's -- like our model through the end of this quarter.
But we talk about the aggressive roll out.
If phase two roll out is one week sooner it's only a week apart from the phase one in the third phase of the rollout is going to be an over a hundred countries vs seventy.
So really December quarter should -- -- very well.
OK so so what kind of splitting hairs that as far as the third quarter goes for apple the court of -- at the end of the month of September which is just to be days away and you -- really over analyze -- may be.
The market today is over -- the fact that we had a little bit of -- shortfall in some estimates for the iPhone by is that fair to say you're not concerned about.
The drop we've seen today the share price.
I think that's very sad I think this is still gonna easily exceed the iPhone four -- I think -- I see great growth have a great product pipeline.
As we -- -- the last few years any dip in the stock has been a great buying opportunity we see this as just the same.
Okay session low for the Sox 680 -- you're saying anywhere in the range that we're seeing right now today -- For apple you would still get into the stock now you would wait for for the -- You know -- -- be jumping ship you know their right in this for an end of this iPhone 5 launch I'd be buying.
Okay -- -- -- other things besides I've.
Five because again we're expecting a -- iPad from apple.
They've been criticized heavily over the last week for the IOS.
Six update.
-- gotten millions of people now complaining about the maps feature.
The consumers -- mean I know that there is apple faithful in the -- old but does apple need to be concerned.
How about some of these criticisms.
-- I think you looked over the part of launchers whether it's been antenna gate it's been -- -- being everything it's been cracked up to be.
Apple's weathered all these little things and learn from their mistakes.
And improved on the devices I think they're gonna be the same with the maps is the first shot out the gate after replacing Google Maps I think -- -- a -- Obvious that -- overcome this I think they have enough fans and enough consumer buying that's gonna they're guys do very well despite the maps.
OK what about the labor issues for -- can't more headlines crossing your troubles for apple with box kind.
What do you make of it are you worried.
We're not -- worried about this and again you know Apple's comments this morning basically that they're going to be supplying a lot of -- October they're still pretty bullish.
We don't see this a major piece or leading factor in their supply chain and obviously Apple's been trying diversify their supply chain as well.
So I think they're going to be able weather this and you know keep moving forward to -- well quarter.
I think -- I mean -- not to say as far as as that does the the amount of supply that they get from Foxconn the same time though I mean apple is a very PR sensitive.
Company you don't say that -- -- but besides the the blockers that are just you know right now securing now when it comes to the updates that I mentioned a few moments like as Scott.
And then again you've got a mean anything that's gonna be labor sensitive human rights issue I mean that's that's something that apple has to consider the some limit -- have to consider.
Oh I think it's I think they've definitely considered I'm Tim Cook went out there to China to visit the -- -- showing.
A lot more consideration about the labor issues out there.
I still think there -- a lot things we need to work through and that's a -- talk about.
Again when we look at the maps this is one of many applications and I think it's a nice application but I'll think it's a core application look at iTunes the media the iCloud.
This is the real -- -- it's not maps this is one of many applications that phone they do need to fix it it is an issue we don't as yet we are forced them inbox.
Well you know at this point it looks like they're number one ensure that they wanna stay number one Hampshire shareholders want the -- and number one -- the as well Scott Sutherland thank you Scott.
