Coming to Houston and looking at this great dynamic environments we're just happy you're there.
-- you know we have discovered the secret in Texas and especially Houston.
Is doing it right I mean whether you look at the employment picture you look at real estate where prices have gone up -- -- the past seventeen years.
What -- the secret sauce down here in your opinion from a government perspective.
Well Melissa first of all we like business we believe that businesses the economic engine of America.
It's an entrepreneurial Citi they -- the wild -- of the past that they have now developed into.
The refineries and center as well as oil and gas and and pipelines but here -- -- government environment that I think makes the difference.
-- -- low tax state we don't have a state income tax we have a very good regulatory climate it's solid but it's not intrusive.
And we have right to work laws so you can join a union are not you have a free choice.
I think these are the parameters that if we followed nationally we would see such a boost in our economy and we would see a boost in jobs which is what we all lines.
At the same time later at beginning of our show we had -- -- -- of course the CEO -- -- who said you are what you achieved.
Has that kind of statement become.
Charged and politicized right now.
Will I do think -- -- He is one of the great entrepreneurs of our country and he's exactly right he worked for it he brought himself up from the bootstraps and he wasn't -- premiere and a visionary.
And original.
And we reward success of this country and it is becoming political.
Because you see.
Other people's kind of downgrading.
Of Mitt Romney's success -- worked for it to and we should applaud that and know that if anyone in this country works hard.
They will be able to succeed and that should be the criteria.
But ultimately I -- the opposite of that is that you didn't build -- message I mean do you think that's destructive to the kind of success that's been seen here in Texas.
Oh absolutely when the president said if you have business you didn't -- that.
You know he his whole month -- it is clear from the government and we're gonna prescribe what success is and then we're going to.
Give it to you.
No it is the originality.
That has made America.
It is success through hard work and then.
Applause for success we -- -- India's nation of successful people which is what President Obama seems to.
Want to follow meant that.
If someone is successful they should give more and and the government prescribed way.
Well you know you look at a Mitt Romney who gives more in charity of his own free will.
And you look at a rich -- who has worked hard and he also is very generous.
That's what we want to celebrate in this country and I do think the politics.
Dragging down success and saying -- if you're successful then we're gonna tell you what your responsibility.
Is he's not the American way.
