Now -- -- president Obama's turn to face some critics after in 1998 clips surfaces of the president pushing wealth redistribution.
-- -- -- We structure of government systems that.
And hence facilitate some redistribution because I actually believe in redistribution.
At least at a certain level to make sure that.
Everybody's got a shot.
That of course follows the Mitt Romney video of him talking about the 47% of Americans who don't pay any federal income taxes.
And now those dependent on government would automatically vote for President Obama but is the real issue here -- role of government.
In the economy and will that decide.
Who runs this country come none of them are former congressman Dick Armey.
Is the former house majority leader he's chairman of freedom -- he joins us now from Dallas.
Great to see you do you think that this is the critical issues that will decide the election in November.
-- that -- really want -- really all about I'm amazed that anybody can be surprised.
That President Obama is first and foremost about his control over income redistribution.
He's a perfect picture of that old adage there's nothing so where your -- -- rises in gummery distributor.
And it's not just benign.
AA and its impact there's something deeper here.
The fact is it's also an example of politics agreed wrapped in a language alone because in his world.
He would be in charge and income.
The government would be this is why the left has always had an animosity towards growth in a growing economy where everybody is making your own way.
They are in charge you with their life.
And that leaves people like President Obama.
I'm disappointed because they think they ought to be in control.
But this is really what is really all about and.
It currently is but -- -- really too late for some.
If not many Republicans to make the argument.
In favor of private growth.
In favor of taking away or at least dialing back many of these entitlements because during this do -- government has continued to grow.
In the last even -- look at the last decade.
You -- had enormous expansion of Medicare.
You had a bailout of the banks sell -- under Republican leadership it was the same my question is is it too late for the Republicans to run on that.
-- -- and and they ought to that's intellectually and morally superior -- review and also want greater good.
We're greater consistency with reality.
The fact is we have always prospered when the government has backed off.
Rule -- -- -- its deregulate its regulation.
I've maintained fiscal responsibility and given room grew in the private sector and a girl.
We just had yesterday again massive layoffs in the coal industry.
Because the excess of control and regulation.
In that industry by government that's misguided.
And frankly quite self absorbed it's all about their power right now on the left and it's not about service to America.
Mitt Romney needs to make that argument.
Growth left the economy well -- that we'll get out of the way he'll be in charge your own debt.
I wasn't -- now that you've got -- now that this video came out.
And they're trying to craft that argument as a campaign why wasn't that argument why wasn't that.
The centerpiece of the campaign.
Months and months ago I'm talking about the private economy.
-- the public economy the government economy because time and again the wall street journal editorial page was laying out argument for months and months ago.
And the Romney campaign never really seized upon it and pushed it.
-- the private sector growth arguments are -- actually more challenging.
And and conservatives Republicans have always been plagued by their fear of the public might not understand.
And they've been -- -- on that liberals on the other hand live with the fear the public will understand.
So they give them -- structured just if you just look at the bogus reporting of income.
Statistics and income distribution statistics in America it's just a perpetrating a fraud.
In the way they report the statistics Republicans need your caller hand on that and they need to make the growth argument strong with conviction.
Stay the course or mentality like Ronald Reagan had.
That is the argument that the American people are waiting for them to make and if they don't make it they'll lose the election it's.
Very close to that election congressman good to see thank you so much former Republican House majority leader.
Dick -- take care so our we'll --
