Report while Christian -- For the State Department and Christian -- you -- -- -- you are an opinion piece for foxnews.com.

Any you said what mr.

Obama time to smell the global Jihad.

So what is the president doing wrong -- -- opinion here.

Well I think he's not seeing what reality -- it is here frankly you know.

Susan Rice is UN ambassador was out on all the Sunday shows.

Yesterday basically saying that this was a response to the movie this was just sort of a one off doubts -- outrage from one.

Anti Muslim movie and in fact it's much more than that it's basically the latest stage of what has been a very good year for islamists the people who want to.

Unify mosque and state they've had a great year in Egypt.

-- having a great year in Syria where they're likely to take control that government and its chemical weapons arsenal they're doing very well politically so I think this is much more about that.

And let you know as a result the president's response looks awfully weak to this you know very dangerous activity.

-- Christian and you -- know you spent six years of the State Department but you're also at this point in your career taking a look at.

-- businesses from a global perspective and -- business can be impacted in the Middle East and you say.

That many US business could be affected by what we're saying now -- the violence house out.

I think it increases political risk for any US or western company that's operating in a Muslim majority country certainly within the Middle East.

But this goes beyond tourist just not wanting to go and visit the pyramids.

I think you can have you know companies in any number of foreign geographies that are going to.

Could have been has suffer some consequences.

Of the US government's weak response.

You know across the board I think incumbent airlines might have a problem with the decline in tourism to places like.

Europe and Asia as Americans look around the world saying you know maybe I'll take my vacation or look for that business opportunity here in the US rather than overseas.

You know I can't help but wonder if -- there's going to be some type of a slowdown -- -- -- to be issues with regards to Europe and Asia and the Middle -- for many business travelers is actually a stop over.

As they travel through so there's that issue and -- also frankly just like the concern of Americans that are gonna wanna go overseas whether it is for business or -- are.

Because they're gonna be concerned about anti American -- Yep I think that's right you know -- part of eight -- this isn't just.

Anti Americanism having a good day around the world what's happening a lot of these countries are the islamists the people again who want to unify mosque and state.

Are sending a signal to reformers to secular -- guess what we can put people on the streets we can take on the number one super power no one's gonna do.

Anything about it so it sets back the cause of reform.

And secularism across the Middle East I think and that has consequences for places where businesses.

Western businesses who are entirely dependent on the rule of law do realize some sort of investment we -- turn.

I it's gonna just raise the risks and raise the of them questions about that.

-- Christa must question to you about the issue of foreign -- United States is sending billions of dollars overseas a to many of these countries whether it's Pakistan the Palestinian territories whether in easy jet.

-- threaten your from your years of experience in government do you think that that's gonna be reassessed in -- -- in a real discussion.

This time around.

Carol I certainly hope so that's gonna have to come from Capitol Hill -- the American people to foreign policy establishment.

It just firmly led to this and it's unfortunate because we give billions to Egypt.

Billions of Pakistan other governments that you mention.

And it doesn't have any positive effect politically or economically it's impossible to correlated with for example or reduction of corruption -- probably increases corruption but.

You know Washington seems very wedded to its weighs in even amid.

A budget cuts across the board that might happen -- -- beginning January 1 so far.

We haven't seen serious cuts to the billions we give Pakistan Egypt and other so hopefully it will hopefully -- oriented more towards small business of middle classes but no sign yet.

Alright Christian white and thank you very much -- -- -- look to have you back thank you Christian.
