In -- age up -- weekend tick off.

The list of countries where we're seeing demonstrations.

Turmoil whether it's Egypt -- -- -- not Yemen.

As -- pointed out now Tunisia.

What will stop this our next guest says we -- only an act one with more chaos to comptek next retired US navy captain and military analyst.

For the Fox News Channel he joins us now from Washington DC if this is just about a video -- this is just about a so called movie.

Shocked -- wouldn't it fade.

Day in this is not about a movie the movie is just the latest excuse.

You can't turn out this many people.

And stage all of the effort that these people have done.

-- and just as as a random event this was planned.

For the eleventh anniversary of 9/11.

The activity was also used as a cover to assassinate our ambassador.

In Libya.

It this is not random and try to write it off to something random.

Moves away from the real question which is.

With all of our intelligence networks in collections and an art.

Presence in a lot of these governments with governments that we helped them overthrow the previous government.

Why were we surprised by all of this.

That's the real question not trying to say -- -- -- just some random event some movie.

The reporting that -- -- on this movie was that it ran several months ago and obscure theater in LA and ran for a couple of days may be.

So there's something very suspicious about this anybody who wants to write it off as a random of them I think is missing the big picture -- in terms.

Of -- aid that we give to these nations -- is second only to Israel in the amount of aid that we give to that country at more than a billion and a half dollars per year.

Is that answer taking that fade away.

It may be money talks.

And the thing is the the power brokers and a lot of these countries.

Although it's illegal.

For US businesses to bribe if you do it -- get the point where that money goes and how that investment is made.

You look at it another way we're we're you can't buy allegiance.

In the Arab world it said but you can rent it.

And I think in a lot of these it's not very flattering but I'm sorry that is is saying that's very well understood.

In the -- community.

In the Wall Street are all yesterday on the editorial page they suggested that we are seen as a power in decline.

And weakness.

Breeds this kind of activity this kind of protest this kind of violence can we reversed -- you -- do you believe that and two can we reverse that.

I do believe that the perception in the Middle East going all the way back to when.

The a radiance took the US embassy.

And they paid no price for it and every administration since then has mishandled the our relationship with Iran.

And now it's spreading to the Arab world as well where we are shown as weak.

And vacillating.

Not he'd been in some cases not coming out strongly in support of our allies the principal one of course in the region is -- Israel.

So when we don't do that when we show that weakness we are in the Arab mind -- week course and it it's just it's not a good situation and -- the worst thing that we could do right now.

Is is talk big and not be willing to back it up I mean the worst thing other than having no weapon is to pull an unloaded gun on an armed robber -- gonna get you shot.

Captain thank you so much -- great to talk to today captain Chuck --
