Not easy to get on the presidential ballot you need followers an organization uniting and hundreds of thousands of people to sign a petition saying.

I want this candidate on my State's ballot.

13 party candidates exceeded nearly every state and that's Gary Johnson the libertarian candidate.

Okay.

Libertarian what's that in India.

Libertarian to me with a broad brush stroke fiscally irresponsible Los socially accepting that sort of broad brush stroke and I think that represents.

Most of Americans.

Well -- more more liberal then Obama on several issues more conservative and Romney on several issues -- -- -- learn a little bit about you you started as one person door to door handyman and grew that into a thousand employee building company.

Then decided to run for governor in New Mexico a democratic state.

One twice.

In this democratic state.

Where you did weird things like -- cut spending.

Vetoed.

I may have vetoed more bills in the other 49 governors in the country by hundreds and hundreds and in -- -- it's still a lot.

In a state that's two to one Democrat I should have been written out on a rail but I just think it speaks volumes of the fact that people really appreciate good stewardship of tax dollars I think I delivered on that and a big way.

Sell then how come -- only according to a Zogby poll and polling at four point three.

Well a big the issue for me is just being in the polls to begin with that would build on itself if I were just recognized for where I was -- right now nationally.

You know what the overwhelming national reaction would be who the hell is Gary Johnson and that would be a good thing.

Just the attention that goes along with that I welcome.

The light being turned on and take a look at my reasoning there's nothing in my resume to suggest that I'm not gonna doggedly pursue all the things that I'm talking about.

On your proposal you cut a trillion in spending.

One point four trillion dollars in spending balance the federal budget now.

I think unless we do that we're gonna find ourselves in a monetary collapse.

So to do that you would trim entitlement programs people say that's troll that's suicidal for -- politician also.

Well it's so we have the two parties right now.

Debating over who's gonna spend more money on Medicare look we've got -- slash Medicare spending if we don't we're gonna find ourselves would no health care whatsoever.

Medicaid same thing military spending same thing.

Now let's start off with talking about the Big Three.

But slash.

My understanding is if you merely stop the growth and we would be in much better shape that's not slashing.

Well I am going to propose a 43% reduction in government spending 43% being the number that -- borrowing and printing beyond what we're collecting believing that that's the only way we save this country cruel people would starve in the street and John this is the exact reaction that I got as governor of New Mexico having vetoed all that legislation by the -- only two of those pieces of legislation were overridden but the whole notion was people we're gonna be dead in the streets.

Kids were gonna starve all the worst things were gonna happen none of them did and I got reelected so.

-- -- here and -- this in.

Is health care for poor -- people.

I oversaw the reform of Medicaid in New Mexico bottom line -- -- that a -- is is -- Medicaid health care for the poor.

I believe at the time that the federal government -- -- block grant in the state of New Mexico 43% less money done away with all the strings in the mandates.

That I -- effectively overseen a delivery of health care to the pour in New Mexico with 43% less money.

-- I would suggest that as a template for Medicare also health care for those over 65.

Give this up to the State's fifty laboratories of innovation and best practice.

-- suggests that that's exactly what we will have some terrific best practice -- get emulated world will also have some spectacular failure.

That will get avoided but Washington top down Washington knows best that's what has us in the situation we're in right now.

You say in the wars.

That means terrorists win.

Bad people will threaten us you know I'm gonna suggest that because of our military interventions we have hundreds of millions of enemies to this country that but for our military interventions we would not otherwise have.

So let's take.

Let's take military spending back to 2003 spending levels let's start out with the premise that yes we should provide ourselves -- strong national defense.

But defense here is the operative word done not offense and not nation building.

How we're building roads schools bridges highways and hospitals and other countries and we have those same needs here in this country.

Let's take a look at one of your campaign.

My name is Gary Johnson this is the United States constitution.

This is not.

This is the united states tax code -- meaning.

Meaning one is simple it's about equal rights for all the other is extremely complex and it's anything but equal rights for all its crony capitalism and a nutshell.

It's the roots if you will of all evil.

Individuals groups corporations paying for loopholes both parties selling those loopholes.

Let's eliminate the IRS that's abolish -- income tax corporate.

Plus the.

You want some government libertarians want some government where will they get the money well so let's replace it with a national consumption tax in this case I'm embracing the fair tax I would love those watching to check out fair tax dot org I think that -- really.

Reboots the American economy and it's certainly kicks.

Crony capitalism in the rear end by I think adopting the fair tax would issue pink slips up half of Washington lobbyists.

Legalize marijuana.

Legalize marijuana control it regulated cent tax and I think we're at a tipping point on this issue let's free up half half law enforcement half the courts and let's.

Let some of those 2.3 million people behind bars that are there on nonviolent victimless crime.

Out of jail -- No I didn't mean it's yeah.

I think that marriage equality is a constitutionally guaranteed rights on par with civil rights of the sixties.
