The international franchise association's meeting this week to discuss how the administration is impacting small businesses all over the country.

Many of these folks are saying that the uncertainty and regulation in America's hindering their growth so.

What are these businesses want to see from Washington joining us now is -- he's -- his national restaurant development president and CEO is -- thank you for coming on good to.

Good to have -- -- what kind of franchises do you -- I primarily on pot pies and dominoes about how many of them do you have.

I've got thirteen now -- -- and 23 Domino's.

So how are you don't want.

It overdone okay it's been that's been a bit of a struggle but you know we've been -- -- along here and -- trying to keep up with.

All the various things that are confronting us in the economy.

-- then it's not bad but it could be a lot better now are you expanding it all -- you just kind of holding your own.

I'm expanding but not nearly as fast is that we're capable lawful or we would like to so we were having -- we are expanding.

But I think we have a lot more capacity but we're just not not willing to do that at this time and you -- even some of those businesses -- may -- may be expanding their facilities but they're cutting back on labor and that's wire unemployment remains high is that what's happening to you.

That's absolutely right I mean we have to up plans for similar regulatory things that are coming down for example the healthcare law -- -- and that -- ball is really taking a look at the labor pool and and deciding whether or not we want to expand that -- -- it's having an impact for all right.

You you you you brought -- the subject that we wanted to focus on which is regulations and I think if I was to summarize your complaints about it which I've actually read before this interview it's that.

That that attitude from -- -- a one size fits all whether you're talking about Obama care whether you're talking about work.

Place regulations whether you're talking about financial regulations you know it it one size fits all doesn't work in America when you have such a variety -- This is big and small.

That's exactly right the small businesses.

Capacity and their ability to comply with some of these regulations as very different from large businesses and I think.

Since small businesses particularly franchising which accounts for eighteen million jobs.

One out of every eight jobs in America is such a big generator of jobs.

We wish that we would be consulted on some of these regulations so that we can have a chance to participate in their in their formulation.

It's just not reasonable to expect small businesses to be able to comply.

With exactly the same regulations that you're deciding for large but this season doesn't president's the president says he -- -- businesses large and small he is targeted small business people let's not your experience.

I think you know BI FA -- has for a period of our number of years now been making recommendations are our CEO Steve Caldera has even written a letter to the president xetra advising him that look some of these things are doing are just not gonna work and they're gonna hamper.

Business -- if there is a consultation.

It's not being you know adhere to because I don't see our the president says in his defense he says look I've got all kinds of tax credits I've got the small business lending fund.

All kinds of programs oriented specifically to people like you to small businesses to which you say.

I -- think many of those programs are working if you look at the results of those programs they are not working.

And deep deep anticipation of the expiration of some of these tax credits etc.

is an example of something that's really gonna hurt our ability to grow business.

-- Aziz -- -- as he's thank you for coming on I hope the president listens to you now national restaurant development president and CEO good to have you.
