-- not be called the Democrats indeed are pulling out their big guns and Charlotte yet Michelle Obama last night Bill Clinton will speak tonight the president himself tomorrow so.
Will this be enough to give them the momentum what we -- a big Mitt Romney supporter with us to start things off Jack Gerrard.
To president CEO of the American petroleum and -- live.
From Charlotte where the convention is being held how about a Jack because a lot people say well you know what Romney didn't get a very big down set of last week's convention now maybe the Democrats.
We'll be able to build up -- little -- -- here after the president speaks on Thursday night.
Well there's a lot of people have different views about -- how big they should or shouldn't be a lot of people suggest -- really what's going on energy got a very few people that are undecided.
Three to 6% there really haven't yet made up their mind a lot of the selections -- event -- clearly shocked choice there.
There's a role for government less government.
We in the energy industry look at this is a very dramatic choice in terms of developing our oil -- oil and natural gas right -- on our own shores.
To help with the economic recovery.
And while we hear about and all the above energy plan we don't believe that there actually walking that walk we're -- -- -- to put the economy back on dry.
And -- just about every time an economic as many times that you are -- we -- Q specifically.
About.
Energy issues that's all we talk about one of the reasons I wanted to talk more about general politics today as I've read that may be Mitt Romney would consider you objector -- -- chief of staff and our.
In a Romney administration's or anything to that that you know off.
Well I -- and add up to a Washington silly talk you know there's a lot of speculation about a lot of different things.
Fundamentally we need to be focused on job -- economic recovery.
That's why we're down here in Charlotte talking about what we can do and I nonpartisan way energy should be a partisan issue.
It should be pro growth for Democrats and Republicans let me talk -- -- a little bit about what you brought up -- few moments ago and -- the fact that there are very few undecided.
Voters but if you look at numbers who's reading all -- read real clear politics every day and in reading.
And Nate Silver of the New York Times you look at call -- -- all these maps show that the president I think is the favorite right now immediate threat of 65 electoral votes last time around.
And just about every map this time even if you have a 10020.
Votes up for grabs shows the president with belief is that fair to say is that how you look at it from being -- Romney supporter that kept some ground to make up in the electoral college at least.
Well I think as -- as you look across the country is a lot of people say the elections really going to be decided by a few thousand voters -- and a half a dozen states.
So really boils down to those states.
When you look at Ohio and -- look at Florida you look a mild state of Virginia and others that's really where the battle's going to be.
And and getting back to our topic on energy -- a big issue and all of states right so we're really trying to encourage that conversation let's talk about a national.
Energy policy.
We didn't hear much of battle last well we're hopeful we'll have more tonight -- high gas prices bottom of that but this could give energy is that can end up being a big.
Election year issue muted highs gas prices never seen on Labor Day and and we don't talk it -- about it and we do on the show them to speaking more generally.
Well there's a lot of variables that contribute to the price of gasoline of course crude oil be in the primary reason.
Again our view is that we contribute more -- of that market place it will put downward pressure on that prize which is really.
Determined by the global price of crude oil so it could be an issue right now the focus just seems to be G operation economic recovery.
And again the energy industry can contribute to that.
All right Jack -- headlines about better quick we'll talk more about enough Costa -- Jack Gerrard from Charlotte today thank you sir appreciate -- time ago that a bit.
