Station in Bahrain which is the critical waterway Iran has threatened to shut down.

This is a vessel with a tremendous amount of history tells about.

Oh absolutely I Mena has been on the water for 51 years it was parked off Cuba during the Cuban missile crisis.

And out right now it is patrolling the Arabian Sea as you said keeping the Strait of Hormuz -- and rear admiral Walter Carter talk to us exclusively and we stand how leaders in the area feel about Iran's threats.

To shut down the Strait of Hormuz and here's what he had to say.

Amazing to see the aircraft taking off and landing on the enterprise I'm curious have they had any contact.

With the Iranians as of yet.

Yeah absolutely I mean on this particular mission may have driven through the strait apartment as her.

Eight different times and they say that when they get in there.

The ukrainians come out on speedboats and sort of check them mountains surround them and look at them they're still nonchalant about it they state.

You would expect that if there was an Iranian ship flowing -- American waters we would go out and take a look at them.

I'm commander Doug teen.

It is one of the people who has been on the ship during this whole time and I asked him what is that like exactly.

I think we'll have an impact do you me from room.

I imagine -- bother them a little -- that we go through each time and I know they get on the radio -- they make clear.

There announcements in the news about how they -- it.

Imagine -- country -- that with so much.

American presence.

What do you think is the impression of the victory gives off -- music is the message.

Here and he -- it will reopen.

That is definitely.

Now if it was close it would take awhile -- Painful I think in the world knows.

I think -- OK -- just as much.

And so yes that's -- spreads.

It may happen may not what we're here that make sure -- -- reopened again.

You know -- -- I think some people watching may think there's something familiar about the USS enterprise remind us why.
