Can't exactly -- what will the financial cost stoking a money.

The local businesses -- from hurricane Isaac.

Joining us now Scott Barnard president of analytics and local provider of business weather intelligence.

Scott thanks to be honest you -- need to see that that -- that with winners and losers in an event like this but.

If we do take their emotional side of this whole game out of this whole thing now there's a financial gain here isn't there.

They're most certainly is -- is that you know big financial side and as was just pointed out it's.

You know it's from power outages to -- business shut down to evacuations of me just across the board there's -- significant.

Financial impact.

To a storm of the -- the really is no such thing as a minor hurricane.

-- -- The it that may not be as big as Katrina but it's still a major major event that -- both meteorological and economically -- -- so let's.

Kinda run this down because the storm is still going on right now so but who's gonna happen biggest impact -- what what does -- another the most.

Well say you know we start with a with a good news actually it's the other good news is the -- energy sector has -- DS storm very well -- so far.

But as was pointed out the storm is not over yet.

The rain will continue continue through into tonight into tomorrow and it will be significant there will be flooding and whatnot.

But -- you -- indications right now are that the energy sector should it pretty much.

Dodge -- bullet a little bit that said -- retail sector is is hit very very tough I mean really honestly who.

And -- who goes to mall right who goes in -- shopping for clothes things like that.

It's even tough for the on the companies that are you know helping out the home depots and wal marts of the world are.

Are doing the best to get supplies in but it's it's difficult -- making sales but it's an expensive -- What do you think that -- really interesting in your notes with cock and -- you're saying if we move on an average of the commodities were -- because it's been so warm.

The -- have opened early and all this -- is actually really bad for that.

That that is correct for the bulls that are up and again it's hard to speak to individual right and one farm for next but if -- -- it's just been such a warm summer was such an early summer in a lot of a lot of the agricultural sector the drought the heat everything we've been talking about for the last couple of months.

A lot of bulls have indeed opened and if the -- are open the rain is very bad news.

And as was mentioned this is a slow moving storm which means a lot of rain.

For a lot of the cotton crop.

And felt very quickly go we've been talking about the drought before Isaac came on to the scene is it too little too late -- -- -- -- with -- rain isn't really gonna save.

A lot of the crops.

I'm I'm afraid it is not actually that it is it is it's a lot to talk to little but he it is too late.

For so many crops for so many farms -- the drought stricken areas it's just too late.

On the -- will lump refill the Mississippi River so will release some of the largest of the crop that is moving will be able to move down the Mississippi and out into the markets.

But.

So much dropped for so long I'm afraid it's just it's just too late.

Right up front president of -- analytic thank you Scott and voice for joining thing we appreciate it.
