Obama speaking out this morning on the latest information on tropical storm Isaac the president warning locals in the gulf to listen.

To their local officials and not take warnings -- We're dealing with a big storm and there could be significant flooding and other damage across.

A large area.

Now's not the time to tempt fate now's not the time to dismiss.

Official warnings you need to take this seriously.

And the governor of Mississippi declaring a state of emergency due to Isaacs and then -- rival onshore governor Phil Bryant a joins me now in -- first on Fox Business interview governor welcome to you.

Give -- an update at this point.

Mississippi residents.

Well we're doing borrowed into -- -- -- and Hancock and Jackson County which have the authority from mandatory evacuations.

In low lying areas part of the problem -- all the mr.

-- -- because as you have exactly that.

Areas that are easily flooded so we're talking about.

Anywhere between 812 inches of rain -- top level also TN to twelve.

Foot of surge -- you add that.

To save about four foot that we have an attack ad in the -- you've got somewhere around sixteen foot of surge.

That could move up tributaries creates.

Jordan River for example.

And give us real problems with flooding as we -- last time.

And again rain on top of that perhaps eighty nanny -- a hundred mile -- only inches who have very serious storm.

About a 180 miles out but is headed our way.

What about National Guard troops at this point you it activated about 15100 troops earlier.

Are you looking now for more assistance as this storm does in fact heads right towards -- today.

-- here's what we have now 15100 guards we could go up to 3000 if necessary.

Not talk to governor of surrounding states particularly governor of Florida and Texas -- said anything we made.

If that storm that northeast quadrant does -- -- here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

That's where the way in the most damage is going to base so we think we have resources -- -- now.

With a -- -- National Guard 15100 National Guard.

We got up to AD.

National Mississippi Highway Patrol what we -- the shock -- for search and rescue.

We've got a thousand utility workers that are standing by resources that -- Maxwell Air Force Base -- pass -- water.

We feel as if we are prepared.

For a a storm that could be a category to which it can't -- now tropical storm could move to get worn.

We always step that up to a cat two we have all the resources and manpower available.

To take this storm loan under the current circumstances.

You know governor you know it and many of our viewers know as well that many of these category one storms can be just as deadly history has shown us that and here we are the exact -- seven years tomorrow today.

The anniversary of hurricane.

Katrina do you still that you and your state are more prepared now after what you have been through over the past several years.

Absolutely unfortunately we are experts at this Robert -- from the may -- director was here during Katrina.

We are as prepared as humanly possible we know how to lose the end how to lean forward in of these storms move resources and personnel forward.
