All right let's go back down to the Republican National Convention kicking off today after a slight to that delay thanks to tropical storm -- The storm also presenting a challenge for Republicans on how to shape -- message.

And tone as -- takes aim at New Orleans.

Our next guest is set to speak at the commencing on Wednesday joining us now former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

Governor so great to have you with us.

I wanna go straight to the recent blog post on your website about how we are more partisan than ever.

Even the parties are split among themselves how do we get us all back together.

I think we have to start putting America ahead of the special interest that all of us have.

And all of us to have special interest some people are very focused mainly on the tax rates others are focused on the -- some focus.

May beyond -- the sanctity of life everybody has a focus.

But at some point we don't lose the things we care about.

But we care about the bigger picture of America even more and realized that in politics and in government you don't get everything you want.

You live to fight for another day.

But -- you know we talk about this before part of the problem is our electric election process isn't it the notion that.

Our politicians are out there vying for the next vote and as a result this special interest become trying to re election.

A lot of it has to do with where the money comes from -- candidates candidates get their money from special interest.

They're beholden to those special interest when they think that -- main goal is to stay there for a long period of time.

They are careful of what they say and do they don't want to do anything that -- in Iraq their political career.

We need term limits it's not so much that we need spending limits because that probably would violate the First Amendment.

But we need to have.

I would say this.

Prohibit nothing disclose everything.

Let us know who actually owns these candidates stop the outside money make everything go through the campaign.

Make everything accountable and that and this really I guess.

Disposable.

So that there's no secret and we know exactly.

Who finances the candidates and their messages.

You're down at -- Republican -- now even our Republican Party has its own problems.

The Tea Party here is -- part of it creating -- -- rift amongst the party.

How do you get them back on board.

I don't think it's the Tea Party I think the Tea Party folks that I see here are on board there's some supporters of congressman Ron Paul.

Who are not happy about the delegate process I talked to some of them yesterday and -- were you know very disappointed and disgusted and angry and I understand their frustration.

And I've been a candidate but I told -- from the perspective -- the -- of a candidate this is a math issue when you don't get the delegates to win the nomination you have to accept defeat.

And so at some point you have to say we didn't win this time you don't want to mess up the whole thing for the future.

Because if you really believe that your message is right.

Didn't grow your message in two delegates and win.

When you don't win accepted graciously and and support the person who did win that's what we have to do is Republicans right now.

-- -- and didn't adopt too good to see you I think what I thank you got to really cut loose then I'm Chris Christie to come out there and dismal.

Could that really what you're talking about and even with a Governor -- -- probably won't happen denied you will probably be very different aren't.

They and I doubt that for a minute I don't think you -- I don't think you can put up rival on Chris Christie because I think he's going to be -- is now is he gonna rise to the occasion.

To also speak to the bigger issues -- vision and solution I -- I think so.

But I don't think that.

If there's any doubt in my mind that you're not gonna see a just all out you know bare knuckles approach to the speech because that's -- -- is.

That is that is suing dead and we are glad that you are you are as well Governor Huckabee take care we have see you.

Much more later in the weekend that the weather holds up as well for you guys thank you so much governor Mike -- --
