-- since Johnny Carson late night has been a launching pad for stand up comics.

But -- cutbacks at the Tonight Show -- -- ad sales is the late night market about to get pounded by the Internet.

Brian bull Weiss is new wave.

It produces more than thirty stand up comedy specials each year and now it's set up shop online thanks for being -- Brian.

First off ABC moving Jimmy Kimmel Live up to take on Leno and Letterman directly.

Is -- going to expand the market -- -- is gonna steal viewers that are already there from the other two.

Hi Dennis thank you for having me here today.

I think it's great I think -- -- being caught in the slot I think it's a phenomenal move for ABC and I think it's good for everybody.

Basically.

Jamie is a very very hard working.

-- meeting -- he's a very very hard working host.

And what you have when people work hard.

As you know when it comes to competition is just gonna make it better for everybody seven -- her respective of the viewers.

They're gonna have another option they're gonna have a very very hard working and very very funny guy.

And from the standpoint of Leno Letterman you name it it's just gonna get everybody to up their game so I think it's -- I I think there's absolutely no downside.

Now can you guys -- -- driving supplier.

Of comedy specials to various TV -- Now in terms or online future did you start itself stuff on iTunes is it ever gonna be big -- you straight to online or do you just re purpose and after you did on TV.

I think that the way the world is moving so quickly what today is viewed is online will.

Kind -- be viewed probably within a year or two is that's just how everybody watches TV.

So we're selling now initially to Comedy Central or to show time -- to Netflix.

-- iTunes from the standpoint of somebody being in there -- -- on a train with a laptop.

To them it's not gonna make much of a difference so and I think is very cool -- from the standpoint of the people like myself.

They get to work -- these great comedians and to be a part of new wave in all the cool stuff.

That we're doing.

There's going to be a lot of changes but from the perspective of the viewer at home there's going to be more options is gonna be better options and as long as the comedians are out there working hard which almost all of them do they were very very hard to come up with the material.

Then it's gonna be really good for everybody.

Got very little time left -- telescope about that Nick Cannon special.

You went on iTunes how many copies did you sell waited -- air first.

Nick Cannon was a very very special in a very very personal project for myself for new wave -- from us.

We teamed up and win nick we ended up being put in a position where we got to shoot some tape -- -- able to sell it to showtime.

Then the second window went to Comedy Central and now anybody who wants invited a dvd store.

ITunes.

Amazon you name it has the ability to watch it so like -- said you can be in your bedroom where you can be in a train and you can watch nick whenever you want.

Yeah and the great things you don't need a giant screen you can watch on yourself all right thank you very much Brian -- that's stress that we continue thank you.
