Maybe Wal-Mart can do -- to keep health -- -- down and -- Washington ever well turns up the 800 number 8000 pound guerrilla retailing is edging into health care services starting Monday.

Going to be offering ten different vaccines recommended by the CDC we're joined now by Fox News editor doctor Marc Siegel.

Thanks for being with -- -- -- how big -- deal is this really these are huge deal.

You know.

Wal-Mart already had a success with their four dollar discount drug program with their flu shots and -- expanding it to shots.

That -- -- a lot of trouble getting compliance with the HPV vaccine.

-- -- shingles a lot of elderly people really need that shingles vaccine.

It's hard for me to get the distributed get -- the vaccines to get the patient in the office to get them they're expensive.

The idea of -- being in a wal marts and readily available is gonna help in terms of preventive medicine you don't get shingles.

You're gonna allow us health costs did.

Well there's no question about that not only that's Sheryl I think people are gonna be able to get into see their doctors under Obama care they may actually have to get their care or their preventive services at a pharmacy.

Like Wal-Mart like Walgreen like CBS so this is gonna give them the option of getting you cheaper.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- And yet my doctor told me listen you don't wanna go get a vaccination of all what I might not -- our doctors and a welcome this sort of -- -- of competition.

Well there's you made a great point before we came on which is -- Wal-Mart is very ingenious in terms of technology what the doctor's care about is getting the records we don't want holes that are immunization records so far patients go to wal -- to get their flu shot.

I wanna know about -- but they can deem it right over to my electronic medical records on fund with a letter to get a cheaper.

One of the things other Wal-Mart has done and they had made promises to the investment community to the public that they were gonna open -- -- these clinics that roll out has been slowed is not quite hit.

At the same time Walgreens CVS Caremark company as we watch very carefully here.

Seem to be doing a better job than Wal-Mart house with the clinics to agree to -- -- have a couple of points on the by the way with the -- they're gonna use nurses instead of pharmacists which I love I think nurses should be administering the vaccines in terms of the clinics I have a problem in terms of medical care I think.

It's not up to the quality I want I want to be in the loop I don't think I want my patients when they have a -- -- in the how high blood pressure when they have a cholesterol problem.

Going to a pharmacy however from an investor point of view I think this is huge I think it's -- be -- huge business success but I worry about the quality of care -- -- one.

-- driver of out control health care costs.

When poor people no insurance coverage.

Go to the emergency room for a cold.

Now what do Wal-Mart effect if doing faith actually what -- they opened up a -- care.

For non emergency cases of for the port without being good or bad -- the way you frame that I love it picks -- again I want the information back to me -- the primary care doctor because I gotta tell you your point about emergency rooms.

I can't get people with a heart attacks taking care of because some with a cold is in the way that's gonna get a lot worse under Obama care because Medicaid.

Covering sixteen million more people they're gonna go to the emergency room with their colds they have nowhere else to go there of the network of physicians.

So the idea of siphoning off people who aren't that sick to the pharmacy unit the to the non urgent clinical care.

Clinic I like I all I can say.

Do you see any potential rests with them expanding that they of the vaccinations none of these -- -- to me that they too could be its meningitis is there any -- -- medical restaurant I'll get what -- -- a whopping cough epidemic so I love the idea of them offering them just the medical risk is if somebody has a side effect.

Are they -- to get that person over to a regular medical personnel what's gonna happen.

If you're gonna Wal-Mart and you have a side -- from a vaccine most of the time though they're very well tolerated all right fantastic job thank you very much doctor Marc Siegel good.
