But small business owner Republican Ross -- disagreed and show does -- approval when he catered in Obama event.

Here's what he told Stewart just yesterday.

No weighted.

Anybody that had knowledge of business would make a statement like that they have no idea that type hours we put in.

The personal financial risk that we take.

-- -- company is Steve Forbes chairman and editor in chief of Forbes media.

Also author of many books including -- capitalism will save us you know stayed.

I have the book in my home library and I looked at and I -- I think every family that that the house and I thought about you know that bright look about your.

-- a -- -- -- -- the bright yellow look they have kind of think sell but nobody really -- out because of where we are with respect.

To where this country is and and really.

November is all about either a vote for capitalism.

Or rejection capitalism do you think so.

It is and that capitalism right now has a bad name.

Because of the financial crisis but the financial crisis is you know was caused by government policy was -- Federal Reserve printing too much money.

Fannie and Freddie.

You go down -- -- government regulations.

That's why I've got a new book coming out next week that your co -- about why free markets are moral and big government isn't called freedom manifesto.

And free markets are where people can be creative innovative.

Wealth creators breaking down barriers between communities doing all the things big government claims to do but -- just the opposite.

Yes but here's the thing -- I mean I hear it I believe it of course are rough murder he believes -- -- -- -- -- -- lovely -- chocolate on the introduction.

But a lot of people -- of people who just go on the subway train in the morning and go to work maybe punch -- clock.

They don't believe in that in the word -- -- be resonating with them you know like somehow the people at the top 1% are sold really it's making their other people's lives miserable.

That's what happens when you get in -- crisis has always scapegoats and they usually in the private sector remnant from the government sector.

And -- that's -- we've got to learn to fight we gain the high moral ground for free markets free markets -- where people can have a chance to get ahead and do great things.

And governments -- one that stands in the way Monica.

This is such a critical argument Steve I'm so glad you -- your new book called freedom manifesto coming out about it because.

The left under President Obama they have continually been making are attempting to make the moral case for redistribution.

For socialists.

They captured in the language emotional language of social justice and as -- points out there -- a lot of people who buy into that because it is an emotional argument.

What I'd like to see more from governor Romney Paul -- certainly does this all the time it's make moral case for the free market that economic liberty is all about individual liberty.

And that when when you're free to do is you please economically and there it -- -- -- I wanna see that moral argument need more from the right.

Yeah or agreed means taking something -- doesn't belong -- which government does to a fairly well as we've seen now.

In free markets you don't get money unless you give something that -- offer something that somebody else wants or needs.

Not meeting the needs and wants of other people but sleeve -- -- you ran for president do you think Romney is pushing this enough for -- though he -- -- ashamed -- -- -- more than been proud of it and that's the -- and any time we go against big government they say you're against -- children.

You don't hear again village firefighters yeah and and and so they.

-- -- and he fell for for awhile I think he's getting his voice back on that right and I think Paul Ryan's gonna stiffen the spine on that.

Make -- case don't be defensive we should be on offense not defense.

And -- thinking about it and I just don't think people truly understand how the economy works.

We talk about these pensions and then they -- greed on Wall Street well didn't understand most people that the growth than those pensions -- from investing in private equity.

Alternative investments in the stock.

Mark but having said that that he's -- state that would that would that the way that they can the argument be too intellectual for main -- I mean how.

How how should the besides freedom manifesto.

How's that Romney Ryan go about saying listen capitalism is the number one country in the world upstart nation 200 your alcoholism as about.

Freedom right freedom to just take risk start something offer something.

You don't succeed until you offer something that somebody else wants in -- Steve Jobs said sometimes you don't know you need it until you show them like with the iPad -- iPod.

I want to take a look at this -- put -- up on the screen because this polls shocking news Rasmussen look at this.

This is Florida right now President Obama is trailing Mitt Romney by two percentage points and Romney apparently is not afraid at least on this Medicare issues not backing down the so far looks like it's working.

You know Ed just talk about pensions this is something that people -- really worried about.

Where -- my money come from when I'm when I'm senior citizen.

Is this right path they're going down.

Yes finally they realize you -- be defensive he can't be passive got to make the case.

It's the government that is imperiling and endangering Medicare pulling out that seven and sixteen billion.

Government that's gonna give you less choices in terms of the medical care -- get in the future free markets are about turning scarcity in -- abundance.

You take the cell -- thirty years -- big as a shoe box -- -- -- -- ten pounds and cost 3995.

Dollars today they're five billion around the world can virtually for.

We're in a quarter and we do that in a horse and Maxwell smart's was issue actually -- that's it exactly but here's the thing though I think you're the Republicans are saying to the American public is that.

We trust you to do the right thing for yourself and other -- you make your own decisions.

Have we become so accustomed to the nanny state.

That we were ready for that -- to make what is -- that's what big government wants make you dependent.

Which means you're less able to make decisions -- senior all they're gonna take away something I've got to write about it.

Instead of figuring out in this country right got a problem face up to -- deal with that they were Corliss is in November Steve Forbes and a new book let's take a look at it.

Freedom manifested.

All right thanks plus the Charles thank you -- battles to fight.
