I get enough what a -- -- folks you can see -- on your screen.

We've got Robert Gray Chris Christopher.

Many other -- distinguished guests including Joseph Feldman Jared Levy is back with me are Chris Christopher I do wanna start.

With you senior principal -- economists.

And I just global insight how does e-commerce portion of the -- this is sparingly nine on shopping online is everybody else don't -- That a lot of people arguing -- in -- -- Over ten years ago hardly anyone did it the right now it's over 5% of all of retail sales so it's not chump change anymore it's something that a lot of stores have to -- look towards.

If they can sort of afford that kind of venue.

All right Robert Gray I know they've been looking at the numbers obviously we're getting a lot of the numbers.

As well today after the close when -- Yeah absolutely let's take a look -- or what -- a quick roundup here take a look at Tuesday huge day there Michael course -- -- it was up 14%.

After reporting first quarter revenues surged by 71%.

So on the luxury end there -- course getting back a little today but look at where was this -- see huge jump up Tuesday.

On -- Wednesday -- number of other names including Abercrombie & Fitch target Limited Brands but Staples -- stand out here.

In a negative way and in this shares sank some 18% after second quarter earnings were down by a third vs a year ago you could see the slide right there on the chart.

Now today take a look at -- this morning weird from the likes of dollar -- GameStop Ross Stores Sears and Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart shares slumping after missing expectations look at the run up.

Today -- Wal-Mart trading near a record high and then you see the big slide there today after disappointing investors now.

Earnings still ahead after the close today -- -- stall.

The gap and tomorrow morning foot locker which itself has been posting record highs.

These are some stocks to watch here obviously we'll break down Aeropostale and the gap after the closing bell today.

Left foot locker before the bell tomorrow and OK how about Joseph I good bring in Joseph Feldman all Wal-Mart and target you know he was talking about Wal-Mart obviously those numbers came out of -- some.

Edison concerns about a -- Wal-Mart seems to be growing.

Do you -- joke that that Wal-Mart is gonna continue on the same track that has been on.

Yeah what -- -- very good momentum I think it as you pointed out that -- is the stocks have such a strong run there's some profit taking today.

Clearly you're seeing a little bit of a slowdown and Sam's Club business and international but the US business which is the core engine has actually been improving.

And I think those everyday low prices are helping I mean we saw good transit targets here yesterday.

RAL it gently he is back on so have -- an -- like the high end retailers.

You're sure a lot of other stuff right now you know we're happy about today's rally but that's another story what do you -- about some of the names -- -- -- It's funny right -- like Wal-Mart for instance take you know Wal-Mart everybody loves Wal-Mart ever bring in my Wal-Mart to take his place to go to to make sense that's that's that's reason for the salt and I like target here I still like target remember.

Be dead preschool where the cut back to schools are.

It's already been done right it's already the end of August almost kids -- go back to school next week a lot of that's already been factored in I think we need to look at retailers like foot locker which I am on going -- tomorrow's report.

I also like to take a look at some of those other retailers like -- I think Michael -- are very very high and they're gonna do well to stuff from the middle that's frequency -- teen retailers the specialty stuff -- -- this high premium prices.

Those are gonna be the stocks are gonna perform if you look within wal mart's report the key there is a lot of the consumer.

Sort of trends -- the -- that.

Folks social spending.

In the beginning of the month they're using their paychecks to go in and buying he saw that flow -- that Enron won't agree gage millions and millions of customer.

Or they aren't getting that Ben lives I think I think gas TV fasten your -- after the bell today but what -- -- actor -- -- something -- back to school issue.

New Jersey bring up the fact that that may be a lot of these dollars and already been spent they overspent.

In July -- did think that that's fair.

Yes that there was a huge surge in retail sales and on July.

Actually -- every month in the second quarter retail sales went into negative territory.

So people were sort of going in fits and spurts and they were allowed fits in the second quarter.

There should be a pick up and also in August.

Not as strong as July.

And maybe some new electronic items might hit the market in September and -- cause another it's spurt of spending.

You know -- there's one other issue here it's something else -- to actually Jerry just mention that fact they've got such as Brad.

We've seen this for five years now you're either got people that are shopping at the high -- are the low and there's no middle ground is accident change.

We don't think it's gonna change in the near term and -- certainly this Barbell kind of economy where you've got -- strength of both fans.

But it's that middle keeps getting -- I mean billowing you're seeing really good strength at a Wal-Mart target TJX Ross.

At the -- and as you mentioned course in Saxon humans and others are doing well so.

We don't see much did change in that at least for the back half of the year.

Well all right means -- action who knows guys think -- very much that's it talk about all the numbers again got coming out.
