-- -- -- first solo interview his Mitt Romney's running mate and doing so with Brit Hume.
From Fox News Ryan asked to respond to charges.
That is budget plan cuts taxes for the rich at the expense of the middle class service.
-- -- get rid of special interest loopholes and deductions that are uniquely enjoyed by the wealthy sort of lower tax rates for everybody let me put it this way.
People -- using Comtex -- -- from the people who are in the top tax brackets.
Take away attach others more their income is subject to taxation that allows us a lower tax rates for everybody.
Families small businesses.
And that helps us create jobs and prosperity at a Steve Forbes Forbes media chairman and editor in chief -- joins us on dubbed -- yes and the more the merrier that weight can lower tax rates even more.
And not only does not allow taxes -- cuts for everybody but also -- and by having lower rates.
You get incentive for more economic growth and up Paul Ryan understands that we saw in the sixty who sold in the eighties we -- in the early part of the last decade.
So why he gets it in a way that I think is deeper than most of those on Capitol Hill let me ask you before I got a couple of other issues to weigh in on the choice of Paul Ryan of what your reaction you know and what your reaction was when you heard it was -- -- vice presidential -- candidate for Mitt Romney.
I pinch myself I couldn't believe the news could be so good he's perfect for this not only does he understand things in a way that if you do.
But also he has a wonderful way of explaining things that everyone can understand.
I think it's the campaign develops and the other side tries to trash from.
About those trashy criticism you're gonna fall by the wayside right people are gonna see substance and a guy who can explain things the way Ronald Reagan -- A lot of it a lot -- being made here over the last couple of days about specific areas where our Ryan and and Mitt Romney did not agree now I know that always happens in -- between a vice presidential backed candidate and somebody at the top of the ticket but because Ryan so details.
Things like the budget and the seven -- sixteen billion dollars Medicare savings sits in the president's health care plan that Ryan also.
Pretty much supported in his budget plan but Romney does not because Ryan so detailed in this proposals.
Does it worry you would all as somebody support of -- Ryan he's not 100% on board in the past with what Romney's proposed.
-- not at all and I think they'll that's one reason why your governor Romney brought the Paul Ryan not was precisely because Paul Ryan brings a depth that few others happen.
And Romney's -- of the CEO effective CEO to know.
That you have to have a strong team around you to get things done so I don't see that is a negative at all I think you can see good point -- pollen stationed there up until Brusca of cross colonization of politics about that crop up until now.
The criticism of Mitt Romney something you know you yourself -- familiar with you ran for president -- here's this guy this.
Rich guy doesn't get it know all this kind of thing and at some of that was sticking attack ads from the other side.
Does this as some people of suggested truly change the conversation do you really believe that we're past that and we'll have a a real debate about.
The issues economics and and budgets and all that kind of thing.
While the other side is gonna try to continue the trashing after -- Labor Day after their convention.
However I think with the Paul Ryan on board.
It is going to be focused on substance and the other -- not gonna like -- but they've got to get into the -- the trash ads aren't gonna work anymore.
And that's one thing it's gonna come out of the Republican Convention is people are gonna see both governor Romney and Paul Ryan.
Unvarnished and no middleman between them and make their own judgments -- its gonna be overall a very positive judgment on both man.
Steve Forbes always great to have you on thank you -- Thank you com.
