Company now Republican strategist -- -- -- -- always a pleasure to have you with.

I know if I ask you which budget plan.

The Ryan Romney planned vs the Obama -- I know you gonna say the Ryan Romney plan is the one that's going to win.

-- which will return prosperity.

But let me ask you a different way.

Can you win this election by telling people though we on going to take something away you.

From those people who being given so much by the government.

Well it.

It's just the basic question of of whether or not we want to really kind of fundamentally look at.

A whether our entitlement system is going to be sustainable and does so far there's nothing that the Democrats have been shown -- especially from President Obama that they've got any better solutions out there but -- that that.

But value but those past the population pays no federal income tax half the population gets something out of the other half.

Why should they cash whether or not entitlements are you know sustainable and -- They won't -- check and they'll vote to keep that -- so every -- return of the question can you win if you really wanna reform entitlements.

Well.

And I think that that's gonna be the the challenge for the Romney Ryan ticket to be able to articulate but I I feel pretty good about.

Paul Ryan's chances on this you know he's he's Bennett managed to be in their re elected six times in the district in Wisconsin.

That that hasn't voted for a Republican presidential candidate and almost thirty years and basically he knows how to articulate these it is kind of messages and his.

His vision for reestablishing.

The the instability that American families are looking for two blue collar middle class workers he's been doing it for a number of years and I think there -- the Romney team is really looking forward to him tackling that on the campaign trail.

President Obama says I'm gonna cost upwards of a half trillion dollars out of Medicare.

I'll get the cost of -- can down can he do that.

Well but this there's still nothing and that plan that shows the long term stability.

You know you're you're gonna have Medicare -- that this that deficit is gonna keep growing.

As long as we have a population that's going to have beneficiaries.

You know out numbering the of the number of workers out there and until they really started -- That elephant in the room if you'll pardon the expression of the Obama plans really going nowhere.

-- -- today -- office said America is on the road to recession what say you.

Well you know it's it's hard to agree with the man is as certainly is celebrated his art Laffer.

You know the concern that we have and this is why I'm really kind of thinking that all Americans Republicans Democrats.

Should be excited about the Paul Ryan -- because once and for all we can have an honest and open discussion.

About which direction that Americans want this country.

Oh my this is the debit card playoff called I -- your mosque.

Do you say that the we're going to have an open and honest discussion I don't think so I think we're gonna see demagoguery run -- It was only a matter of seconds after the -- and pick was announced.

That Erica Payne came out with a new.

Granny over the cliff -- and that had it was very successful when it was first introduced in the doing exactly the same thing now.

Demagoguery.

Yeah see you got on this -- -- -- -- could be successful over again.

Well they'll they'll try it you know it but that I think that there's again a way that Paul Ryan is articulating this thing that really reaches out to the heart.

Of the average American out -- it's all about cutting through the clutter and certainly the demagoguery that you're talking about that wants to set -- the straw man because frankly the president and his team are desperate to talk about anything else but their failed record.

Okay -- suppose we get a sweep.

Romney wins the White House the Republicans win the senate and they keep control of the house what happens in the economy next year.

Well I think you're gonna start to see incremental growth that will eventually explode it's the same thing that happened when you had tax cuts under the Reagan administration.

And it even for the Democrats under the Kennedy administration back in the early sixties you know this is all about the difference between equality of opportunity.

Rather than equality of outcome and when you can give me the kind of free market optimism that the Ryan and and and Romney proposals are going to give it I think you're gonna start to see.

Investors who kind of reaching out and say you know what we're gonna take a risk because we know it's a calculated risk that's gonna provide in the end more stability that that our economy really desperately needs -- -- always a pleasure Republican strategist thanks for joining us good luck thank you very much present.
