Our next guests Brian Blackman.

To discuss the ethical challenges from.

Campaigns.

Dismal poll numbers for -- governor Brad -- former deputy assistant to president George W.

Bush.

Right great to have you here let's start with these numbers of nine point deficit in the latest fox -- as you know.

What do you make of that.

And what -- the governor do.

Well I think again these -- early.

Up polls that they're registered voters are not likely voters they have the drill down in the battleground states are really.

The key states necessary for Republicans to win so I think.

I would take no stock.

And in polls this early.

And I happen to believe that right after the convention will be good indication of what's likely to come after the Democratic Convention because remember Republicans go first and then.

It's off to the races that Labor Day so.

I think after the -- convention is going to be good indicator and then again at Labor Day and we'll see where the -- -- -- that what about the old.

Idea that you introduce your vice presidential candidate during the convention.

In -- in any chance we'll ever see that they've gone again perhaps this year.

I don't think so but it's a lot like waiting for -- Pope I mean we're waiting for that white smoke and I think this.

Plus -- may just blow a lot of smoke at people -- you're watching the bus go from city to city the reports are going to be no announcement here let's go the next place.

I think if they were gonna announce a bus tour tomorrow -- -- the battleground state of Virginia they should make the announcement.

And carry that announcement through the battleground states of Florida North Carolina.

And Ohio I I think it makes no sense at all to wait the teasing is gone off.

Long enough and I think it's about time we have a a powerful vice presidential pick that could help Romney.

In in the kind of attacks that are necessary to be delivered.

-- Obama campaign conventional wisdom Brad is that there are three folks on the on the short list financing it.

What's your sense is that the right after they have the right people.

I think that -- -- only probably about four people who actually know anybody tells you differently is just not telling the truth.

But historically speaking it's probably down to -- at least three at this point if he's not made a decision already the types of names we're hearing about.

The Republicans are fortunate to have good qualified people in battleground states like Marco Rubio in Florida Rob Portman US senator from Ohio.

A great Virginia Republican governor Bob McDonnell so we have some great picks.

-- for VP I think Romney needs to execute right now.

Executed.

Do you have a front of the decision.

Execute on the decision get somebody out there pull the trigger and let's get.

I got people out -- -- -- secure believes but I.

I'm curious do you have a choice among those three or 44.

I would I would like to see either Marco Rubio or Paul Ryan because I think they can help deliver a battleground state.

The young fresh faces no bush connection because I think we pass that.

Blame bush -- Rob Portman would bring that is the former OMB director I think a fresh young face.

To complement.

A good choices are presidential nominee is the -- ago.

You know there's abortion -- -- -- you connect trying to connect themselves to rubio.

I never heard of man recommend -- presidential candidate so so frequently -- over separates.

Well I think the reason why Jeb is doing that is because he has firsthand knowledge -- his leadership having -- the governor of Florida so it's not as if he's overreaching I think.

He brings a lot to the table because he's work -- this man and understands his leadership capabilities.

That you bring to the country as a leader of the Florida legislature.

Speaking liberation Jon Huntsman senior coming out and saying it's time for the governor released more.

Tax returns in and also the same time.

Denying that he is the source of the the Harry Reid.

Smear on.

Governor Romney's -- what do you make up.

Well I think he's trying to to join the fray I I believe that.

Mitt Romney is release of the two years -- tax return -- certainly keeping with tradition.

If he would have made a decision earlier I would have had no problem releasing work but apparently he's not and this -- will not turn on whether or not he releases more tax returns.

The fact the matter is he's done what other candidates have done.

And it is what it is he's a very wealthy guy but he made money the old fashioned way he earned it unlike Obama who became rich by being famous.

That's a sound -- -- talking point Brad but let's just having it at that spread like been good to talk really appreciate.
