In focus tonight cars -- will -- It's a warning being issued by consumer reports this week in the cars making the list.

Well they're not the usual suspects for more I'm joined by Rik Paul the -- editor for consumer reports welcome Rick great to have you here.

Let's just won't start right away with a Honda Civic I was so surprised to see this on your list of cars to avoid why sit there.

What's true that Citic has been one of our higher rated cars over the years and it's still want to most fuel efficient and reliable in its class.

But it was a redesigned for 2012.

And in doing so Honda -- cut too many corners and the overall quality has come down the fact -- a choppy ride noisy cabin mediocre interior quality.

We think that the their cars like the Mazda three Subaru Impreza are much better.

RE a Toyota Prius see you like the regular old fashioned Prius but not the Prius CY.

-- the C is a new model and it's really a whole different car than the regular Prius it's a small sub compact.

It costs 21000 dollars so my BS attractive there and it gets 43 miles per gallon which is excellent.

But even that is less than the larger regular Prius and also the sub compact C.

It's just noisy it's low it just -- you have -- has an unsettled ride.

You know now we much.

We preferred the Honda Fit which is thousands of dollars cheaper it only gets thirty miles per gallon but with those -- -- thousands of dollars to save up front about paper a lot of gas -- is a great college kids are excited Jeep Liberty.

You you didn't just say it's good op -- but not on wrote.

-- now I have rugged look such a lot of people like and it really can tackle off road terrain but when -- gets on the pavement it just doesn't measure up.

It's it's there has.

Clumsy hand delaying any unsettled ride and the noisy engines and only gets sixteen miles per gallon.

Awful its -- and it and it also got a test or -- test and only 27 have a hundred which makes it one of the lowest scoring cars we've test of.

So we much prefer cars like the the Subaru Forester and the Toyota rap for it won't be as good opera but I'll get much better fuel economy.

Ford Edge.

-- -- is is it -- one thing role effective of these six model had its its reliability is much worse than average.

According to our latest reliability survey.

In -- tested did okay our our main problem with that was the new my Ford touch control system which we find hard to use in distracting.

-- overall would much prefer the Toyota.

High Lander Nissan Murano which get get better fuel economy and a better overall cars.

Also the dodge grand caravan.

Yet others have very popular minivan is vs -- total.

And it's well equipped and comfortable.

But again it's reliability and our in our survey it true the most complaints of problems than any than owners than from any owners of Antioch community band.

You know complaints about that squeaks and rattles and that sliding door problems and power equipment problems.

So we just say just avoid that it take its seventy miles per gallon which is a little less than the others not terrible.

But they'd go for -- Toyota Sienna which gets twenty miles for downs of federal all round higher.

While great ideas Rick thanks for coming on tonight enjoy your testing.
