The midwest.

That's where it's really getting hit the was Cincinnati for example up thirty cents in just the past week.

That's a spike and this is a gas receipt from around next guest Cincinnati talk show host Brian Thomas -- -- welcome the program.

What is it you -- you think -- four dollars and eighteen cents a gallon was -- a regular.

Now it was for premium but I'll tell you the regular prices -- gone through the roof -- well I did little checking and I couldn't find it anywhere near me for less than 389 a gallon.

And when I checked on line the prices are all over town that high as well as higher up to 399 for regular gas so.

For eighteen does sound outrageous it was for premium but -- frankly it was outrageous object that you don't you don't talk show.

You've got cola just coming actual time is this registering on -- -- right job that there is a -- -- what do they think about it.

Wolf courses registering it's it's everyone's bottom line I and I think the amount of money that's going in gas tanks and I hear from listeners the amount of money that's being spent.

Just to get from point a to point B it doesn't leave a whole lot of disposable income for the particularly for the middle class folks that Barack Obama seems to care so much about yet -- -- I blame.

-- and that we -- you could -- to speculate as you can blame the oil companies you can blame Barack Obama you can blame the governor of Ohio who's getting the blame.

Well in this particular instance I think it's gonna have to be the administration -- you cool mandated us putting.

Booed in our gas tanks in the middle of a drought -- -- did we not anticipate the possibility of a drought.

It's the same way with refineries you -- refinery that goes offline he takes out 10%.

Of the entire supply to the West Coast doesn't someone plan ahead for these contingencies apparently not.

You know so I think the administration's anger and and and expressed higher and desire for us all drive tiny little cars get you know 506070 miles a gallon -- -- Is really is where the focus is right now they know what Obama's energy policy is and it's not friendly to the middle class.

-- I just wanna bring our viewers up to speed on a news item that we relate to twenty minutes ago and you just referred to this a little bit -- front.

And that is that to you Reuters reports that the spot price of gasoline in the Los Angeles market to -- on the Los Angeles market.

Went up 24 and a half cents.

Immediately.

Because of news about big -- at the refinery in northern California.

Brian you were referring to that when you set a -- -- takes out eight at least 8% 10% of the refining capacity of California.

So California is looking at a big increasing gas prices in the very near future.

And that adds to what's happening in the midwest.

Exactly and -- what looked.

Look at 10% 8% it's not even reflected in the speculation price -- the -- 330 gallon it doesn't take much math to figure out what an additional 10% as.

The laws of supply and demand are going to kick in.

There's going to be less supply greater or equal demand that is gonna cause the price to go up this is -- simple market economics.

You know Brian I've always been jealous of you.

You -- I think you've got -- best voice in the media.

And I'm still jail -- I'm very that's very kind of you say because you know -- I got a real us video I'm quite jealous of you as well you have a wonderful British accent that everyone just loves I'm sure it it it does very well served you very -- -- I live in new Genesee and not -- 340 -- -- And unit in Cincinnati and you played for eighteen for the premium because you drive a fancy foreign cough okay I don't hold -- against you brought you still got a great voice.

I brought Thomas they've other excellent self thanks so much for joining -- -- cannot thank.
