I guarantee you're gonna enjoy my next guest he says President Obama is working to -- and of this of class warfare.
Between this country suburbs.
And our cities.
We're very specific reason joining us now is Stanley Kurtz senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
Author of the brand new book spreading the wealth how Obama is Robert in the suburbs.
The paper the city's.
Good to have you -- my thanks so much for having I I think that there's almost nothing that could have been written that wouldn't surprise me more.
Then to think.
As you put forward here.
A strategy to move.
Federal money support from suburbs.
-- the direction if you will of a modern life.
To the city urban centers.
From the suburbs -- all out attack on -- Who I was surprised myself -- Britain about Obama's past but.
Well I've discovered is Barack Obama wants to abolish America's suburbs that might sound hard to believe but for nearly two decades.
Barack Obama has been a huge supporter of -- movement whose goal is to have city governments swallow up and control suburban governments.
The idea here is to have cities.
Somehow get a hold of suburban tax money.
Ultimately President Obama wants to redistribute the wealth of the suburbs to the cities you know when he said re distribute the well.
Talking -- Joseph the plot.
Spread the -- He wasn't kidding on any level -- No way in fact it's gonna get a lot worse in the second term that's what I've discovered there -- a lot of plans afoot.
I'll give you an example there's a program called the sustainable communities initiative now no one pays any attention.
To that program because the name sounds like gobbledygook.
And it's not really gonna fully kick in until the second term.
But watch out for the second term because at that point.
They're going to send out plans to localities across the country plans to lay out ways.
To redistribute wealth from the suburbs to the cities and even to push suburbanites to move back to the cities and at that point Obama has the ability.
To hold federal aid hostage to local adherence to those plans that could have a really transformative effect.
Transformative and we've heard that word used a lot by fundamental transformation.
What you're talking about would be precisely that.
How would President Obama.
Be able to a -- such a dramatic shift.
In resources from suburbs.
To cities.
To Alter the tax base in the direction of population growth.
Well of course it's a long term project but there's a remarkable amount that Obama can do and a second term I've given you one example I'll give you another.
There's a fellow who used to be community organizing -- -- Barack Obama all those years ago in Chicago his name is Mike chronicle.
Every bit as radical as Bill Ayers or Jeremiah Wright -- people haven't heard his name.
So they don't realize he's working with Obama this crowd look fellow has started a new community organization called building one America.
And what it's going to do is.
Work to get state legislatures.
To force suburbs to re distribute their tax money to the cities we already have this is actually in Minneapolis Saint Paul it's called regional tax based sharing.
And right now the Obama White House is working with crime -- group.
The lay the basis of a pressure campaign in the second term.
On state legislatures to force this regional taxpayers -- and you report that pres.
And Obama.
Is putting together creating a new coalition.
If you will.
Building from the interior of these cities are out to the suburbs themselves some of them that are disadvantage because of the economic stresses that this -- -- fear is gone through.
How how progressive.
If I may use the word is that plan how or is it -- or has it progressed.
Well Lou you're right you see where a majority suburban countries so you can't just come up with a plan to take all the money from the suburbs because the suburbs without -- -- so the plan that Obama and the organizers who were working with him -- Is to split the suburbs against themselves to create an alliance between less well off in -- ring suburbs.
And cities.
And this would again play out in the state legislatures where they would try to push through this regional tax -- -- In the Republicans I mean this is these are amazing charges that you make in the -- I would think from Republicans would pick this up and start waving it in the faces of every voter in the country well I think they ought to because the suburbs -- the swing constituency of this election move on all sides agree on that right now Obama is appealing to suburban and middle class supporters.
If they got wind what he had in store for them in the second term I think it would give them serious second thoughts about supporting President Obama.
