Troubling evidence tonight of gaping holes in security -- -- schools all across the country.

The Government Accountability Office finding illegal immigrants -- able to receive -- trading without even being screened by the Transportation Security Administration.

Eleven years.

All months after September a lot.

Some of them even receive certificates the GAO report revealing people on the no fly list.

We're still allowed to enroll and of course flight schools.

Our next -- chair -- -- congressional hearings on the issue joining us congressman Mike Rogers -- both armed services and Homeland Security committees.

The congressman great to have you with us how could this possibly be.

Given all the the tragedy that followed precisely.

This this event in 2001.

-- -- Michael balloon.

You know we were stunned when we get the GAO report before the hearing -- a few weeks that that this could happen.

You know eleven years after the -- the yet.

And we know two of the terrorists went to plot to wanna know how to take off imply wanted to -- -- to Lander finish in the course.

So you know it I've made a statement repeatedly this basic blocking tackling.

To make sure we have cut we cover these places that we did at a minimum don't trying people materially here -- Two to go through lots do what else wants things that a turnaround will -- the -- with the that was the purpose of the hearing was to look at GAO report in the number of a foreign nationals who were here illegally.

Receiving.

Frightening.

But what came out of the hearing it really -- this -- when one of the members asked the TSA administrative their.

General aviation department who oversees.

So what about people who are here legally either citizens or our -- legal visas.

Can they get training with -- and they stance and was yes.

-- they have to be evaded the answer was no within the question was well at least they're -- against the no fly list and the answer was no.

Now we have a list of people that are too dangerous to even sit on a commercial airplane but we don't bother.

To -- that earliest before we teach him how to fly the airplane to -- -- homeland.

Security congressmen -- -- people listening to you right now.

Who we've got to believe there their role they're listening to you to a world gone -- What in the world as the Department of Homeland Security secretary Janet in the politics now what is her excuse for.

For permitting this to occur.

Well no she wasn't the one testifying before -- I understand -- she's the one responsible.

I agree and she denied the report's accuracy.

Which I've been -- would GAO wanted to take her testimony but -- you testify before judiciary to House Judiciary Committee.

Last Thursday the day after my hearing in one of our committee members happen to be on that panel and ask her if she united.

Said detergent -- that hit a general aviation was -- there.

Well he was underwrote testify before us he's over this department he agreed without GAO's findings is that they're trying to correct them.

And my concern was that either the sectors in the now.

-- she doesn't trust her -- personnel but in any -- it's inexcusable.

So she was just vying for the full committee today and I asked her about it she walked that back a little bit.

But say -- did say the problem has since been remedied.

That is completely inconsistent with what GO say it.

And in fact what was testified to at -- hearing about the TSA person and the -- immigration customs enforcement person.

They testified under oath they're working toward remedying but I still -- not -- -- -- problem.

I understand that's where you work and serve.

Of people are very state Alabama and the people the United States.

I gotta say.

It is I listen to the process and the response to.

The Government Accountability Office exist for that very reason to audit.

These executive departments and her response is always she has no culpability no knowledge she doesn't remember or in fact.

The Government Accountability Office doesn't know what it's talking about but she doubts.

Well and that's why we're all in this like why don't rise we -- -- -- stay after it I asked both the witnesses who testified for immigration and customs.

An -- from immigration and customs enforcement as well as TSA.

-- -- -- take you have this problem completely -- where nobody is receiving a training is here illegally.

They sit within ninety days I'm gonna hold on to that but we're really really we don't happen in 2010.

Are you saying there was congressman that this is still go and -- Unbelievable.

It's still don't know that's exacerbating many days to straighten it out yeah I don't believe.

Yeah that's what people are outraged people are fed up -- TSA because of this kind of indefensible thing.

But I want to know we just learned about it because this GAO report -- we're gonna stay after but also.

This issue about the no -- earliest.

We are going to if it if they don't mandate that everybody be -- against the no fly list before they get -- lessons we're gonna pass -- statute mandating that anybody where the US citizen or not pulling away might be careful about that be careful.

While this administration doesn't like to enforce certain laws I don't see why they'd wanna destroy this new generation -- -- historical here I'm sorry.

As that this administration may not -- -- a lot longer.

Well it sounds like certainly strong elements of it shouldn't be.

Kind of -- don't see how anybody can defend somebody who's on the no fly earliest being allowed to go to the learn how to fly -- plane.

At all in and out of agreement and if there's a lot of this anonymous can understand and it's and -- Congressman we appreciate -- Taking care business the people's business thank you thank you some -- with -- congressman Mike Rogers.
