-- weak economy the latest poll from the Wall Street Journal and NBC news shows President Obama leading challenger Mitt Romney.
By six percentage points 49 to 43%.
A -- the same sane and four other polls.
Done in just the last year -- why isn't Romney getting more lift from what is a very shaky economy.
Chris -- -- -- she is Republican pollster and vice president of the Winston group and on the other side of the aisle Alan -- -- of the -- com show Kristin you're that Republican on this -- all.
Answer that why isn't Mitt Romney get more out of a weak economy.
I think that's -- pull you mentioned has a little bit of a skewed to the left they show that there.
12% more Democrats than Republicans out there I'm typically -- numbers are pretty good but I think this is an overly democratic poll.
I think as we get closer and closer to the election you're gonna see these numbers tighten up because Barack Obama doesn't have -- -- -- the question how does he gonna create jobs what is he gonna do that's different than the last four years as president.
And -- helps -- -- one thing we Republicans and -- -- side certainly the reason from the isn't doing better and -- -- his failed to democratic poll Wall Street Journal and democratic -- But one of the reasons Romney's not doing batteries running.
Against Obama but not for -- -- he's got no vision yet Scott Walker this morning governor of Wisconsin says.
Rob he's got to stand for something he's got no vision it's all about how bad -- -- Is admitted president -- -- let me ask Alan this question is the president though in danger.
Because if you sit back and say hey I'm doing fairly well about my -- Not always a danger because this certainly uncertainly about the economy lots of happy to announce November and he can't just sit back and say hey I'm -- to November that certainly that's -- don't.
The governor Romney has and large part let the Obama campaign.
Define him.
It's a person as a businessman why isn't he more aggressive.
With the negative that's Christen.
I keep seeing him get a lot more aggressive even just within the last week I think.
The comments that President Obama made about that that you didn't build that -- I was at dinner time Linux from a if you want to know your current event -- and -- was -- Yeah remember an alimony you the united yeah.
I guess I'm like hi I'm in the middle of this -- yeah.
Yeah.
Police -- That was where I can hit -- you can say I think they are also allowed and you didn't say something because you're on the right.
But you can't stepped it's stepped that you are Clinton Obama can -- clarified yet but -- Kristin why it why wasn't the Romney campaign.
More aggressively on that point our life.
I think -- they're they're turning it around now I think -- forty we're trying to focus very heavily on.
Let's talk about jobs let's talk about jobs let's talk about jobs and this is given them something to sort of latch onto -- -- to grow out a message that's really sort of more emotionally resonant.
Focusing on small businesses their importance in this economy.
And their importance as a job creator I think it's it's it's a good message I'm glad he's running with -- and I hope that they can stay focused on jobs -- -- you have Democrats are talking about.
You know wanting to raise taxes on -- small businesses and haven't explained how raising these -- Actually worry a Democrat I but is lowering taxes on most Americans of middle income Americans he's actually lower tax Obama has on both small businesses.
He's actually done more tax relief for more Americans and he gets called inaccurately by the right as that some kind of socialist tax raiser which is just an accurate.
You -- Thailand and I don't hear all the lists you I have paid a 10% tanning tax just yesterday an upgrade them.
But -- -- -- you don't look at me land look at did you look with a ten.
Thank you I do wanna raise this issue about the you didn't build that comment and I'm good at it let Christen and -- answer this.
According this Wall Street Journal Paul -- just 8%.
Of voters that are on decide at that comment really.
Do -- Republicans will feel one way instantaneously.
And did.
And the Democrats will say it was taken out of contacts and feel the exact opposite.
That 8% of undecideds -- what did these campaigns need to do to turn them and their direction.
They need to explain how they're going to create jobs so Obama has to explain what he would do that would be different from the last four years.
-- -- had unemployment over 8% for 41 months.
-- needs to explain his 59 point economic plan that's really complex.
In a way that resonates -- that these undecided voters can have confidence in.
Enron analytic -- its specifics and Obama have to simply say look what I've done -- -- continue to do we -- a -- -- I've had obstructionist Republicans they don't wanna work with me.
Here's what the issue is and here's what we can do from here I hope it just gets tighter so we can fight normal for a -- and -- thank you sound -- An Allen called kids I think if it does -- stuff now before --
