California is among the states in the worst financial condition anywhere in the country yet they keep voting left.

The latest field poll out of California shows the presence within eighteen point lead that.

Mike Reagan I'll voice of reason California houses this theory for that.

The whole state including Los angels is actually bankrupt and the politicians are not being honest.

Yeah you're reading polls but the politicians are promising more more more -- -- it.

And the people who should be in fact paid attention are not in fact paying attention at this point in time.

I wonder if you can solve this conundrum for us.

Why is it.

The California votes so much to the left continuing the policies if you've driven it into bankruptcy.

-- -- I have this theory and that say the United States is actually built on a slant and everything that's -- rules towards California.

Which makes about as much sense as anything else we have you know you brought up some of the the danger signs that that have been going on since Obama has that taken office since January of 2009.

California has lost well over two million jobs and and almost two trillion debt dollars of its net worth.

It we lead the nation in foreclosures and and Solyndra scandals.

And yet we still keep doing the same thing over and over again I think Mike Reagan has a very valid point people really just are paying attention because the -- and promises coming from.

From Sacramento are still making them feel good.

We we sit around and up production meeting in the morning and this -- this question has come up frequently why does California vote left.

And so -- up people was so while it's on social issues California's always been left on socialist but that's not true.

California voted against gay marriage in California voted against the legalization of marijuana so that's now -- Is it the Hispanic vote perhaps -- is -- a gigantic environmental movement the votes left in California.

Which constituencies.

While pushing so far left.

Well I think you're seeing a combination of those things in -- and really Stewart it's been.

Over the last almost three generations the democratic led leadership here in California has systematically develop his whole.

Culture of entitlement and and it envelops many of the demographics that you're already talking about that -- -- California has 10% of America's population but over 30% of its welfare cases.

You know we were talking about public union workers which now outnumber manufacturing workers by nearly three to one and our government pension liabilities are are systematically choking off the state.

And and bankrupting our cities and yet there's still promising these programs like high speed rail and and water development that are pie in the sky projections.

That have no basis in reality.

Now a state cannot go bankrupt.

But California is insolvent.

Can you give me any idea what the end game might be.

Well I think we're gonna get to the point where we have this this a no win situation where they're going to have to finally make a decision that are ultimately.

He is going to harm.

A very unfair amount of people out here.

You know they they they've got to system set up here because of prop 98.

Which gives 40% of any state budget to education and education now is suffering more of the cuts and anybody else.

But see what they won't do is they they won't give up.

Protecting individuals.

I should say -- protect the bureaucrats.

At at the expense of the the services out there -- and that's where we're running these problems these pension liabilities that are that are making California cities.

Basically -- up filing for chapter nine right now is is going to be I think one of the biggest stories -- 2012 on mcginnis -- -- standard we hope you can help us follow this through and coverage for as we do appreciate your help so thank you very much.
