Again now we're looking at twelve people dead in that shooting 38 more injured there are also reports that a really an explosive device was found in the suspect's car outside of the theater.
And the suspect alluded to having possible explosives in his apartment as well.
The ATF does confirm that they have explosive experts on the scene at the theater and also at the suspect's apartment.
To assist in that investigation.
As far as the victims are concerned that we don't have much information there but their ages seem to spend.
Pretty widely university hospital said they range in age from three months to 45 years old and those are just the victims being treated -- that hospital.
That three month old is reported to be doing.
Just fine.
For those just tuning in we're just recapping some breaking news here this morning of a deadly shooting.
At the premiere showing of a new Batman movie and near Denver police in Aurora Colorado -- say.
At least twelve people have been killed and 38 people people injured.
After masked gunman opened fire at a multiplex theater in a mall in our are -- Ten people they say died in that -- -- two more died in local hospitals earlier you may have heard.
Figures like fifty wounded it appears that those fifty also included the fatalities so again we're now looking at twelve confirmed deaths in this shooting.
At least 38 more.
Injuries there the suspect was apprehended and is being identified as 24 year old James Holmes of are -- And the gunman who is wearing a gas mask and body armor apparently stood at the front of the theater.
Fired into the crowd at about 12:30 AM local time witnesses reported hearing multiple rounds fired but also said the gunman -- canisters in the air.
Which sent smoke into the air and sounded.
Like they set off some small explosions described that the sound of firecrackers.
We just heard one witness say that that gas is definitely tear gas.
A police have not confirm that at a local hospital did report treating people for tear gas contamination separate out looks like at least one of those canisters.
-- west tear -- the gunman eventually ran out of the fear of the police did apprehended near car behind it.
And they say the gas mask a rifle a handgun and at least one additional -- were found inside.
Again the suspect is 24 year old James -- of -- -- that additional weapon police were referring to.
May refer to some sort of bombed as we did receive reports that explosives were also found in that white car that you can see there in the video on the screen now -- Confirms they have explosive experts and explosive canines on the scene at that sentry sixteen theory here.
The suspect also said he had explosives in his apartment so ATF is assisting a search there as well.
And everyone in the suspect's apartment complex has been evacuated is still no word.
On a motive here but sons witness is we just heard one of them say.
That they thought it was all part of the stone and may have something to do with the villain in the movie also wearing a breathing masks and it possibly is trying to mimic what was going on here.
But there's no evidence so far the second gunman despite reports earlier that there was a second shooter here.
And again we're looking at at least twelve dead including children 38 more wounded and those victims range in age.
Just one hospital reported that they have victims ranging from three months to 45 years old and we will continue keeping you posted on -- as we get more information.
In the meantime let's take a look at the markets right now we're about thirty minutes away from the opening bell on Wall Street if you look at futures we've been seeing -- hours across the board for most of the morning here.
Dow futures are down by 59 the S&P is down by eight.
And the nasdaq's down by about seven.

I'm at the moment declining on their quarterly numbers this comes on the heels of what we talked about -- Yum! Brands in some of these casual diners fast food.
The group isn't coming under pressure and a tough economy Verizon is one to watch as well it was downgraded over at Credit Suisse today.
Verizon is a Dow component and -- -- downgrading Verizon based on valuation.
