Recent college grads might want to listen up some college courses.
Are set to be offered for free more than a dozen top universities will offer classes be an online service called -- -- Anyone with Internet access can register for classes created by professors at Princeton duke and Stanford and more.

Whether some catch you know we we've been doing free online courses for seven years to open course -- so.
We already have a hundred courses on the web free that people all over the world take.
I noticed that you have to turn in papers there's course work there's an exam at the end at least the ones I mean I was very fascinated by Quantum mechanics.
And there's a big tested the and it gets scored.
It -- -- it won't cost you guys money and you're doing it for free is it a money loser or what you hope to get out of it.
Well it it doesn't really cost this much that the cost is in in the that teachers professors -- immaterial.
On the web.
But since we already have the courses for us because -- platform is different.
The major cause was a time to re record lectures and get in of course there for so what do you have to get out of it.
Well we believe public health and learning about public health is a good thing so that's why we do open courts where we've done.
We've had 3.5 million visitors to that site since we started.
So we want people would be able learn about public health we we think that some of those people roll eventually perhaps decide to pursue a degree in public health.
But but mainly we're doing it because we think it's the right thing to do.
There are a lot of courses that -- -- -- that are highly technical that are very intense that are very advanced.
At the end obviously people don't get a degree they do get a certificate.
Do you think that other than for your own personal enrichment can be used that for something to get credit for -- So just be clear these are ports of -- so even though there are intense and they're in depth.
They're not the entire course so they're a portion of of course.
And then people will get a certificate that the people who pass the test and listen all elections will get a certificate of completion.
They they may be able to use their professional.
To demonstrate that they've got some additional knowledge.
Or to demonstrate that they might have the confidence to.
To they might use it if they're applying to graduate school say they've already had interest in training done well.
Yeah it and I guess maybe people go online a look at the courses and you'll have even more enrollment although I don't think you're hurting for enrollment but anyway very interesting topic thanks for coming on tonight the was my pleasure.
