So now we see it now we don't stimulus money up in smoke again this time it's the Energy Department they just can't seem to locate.

500000.

Dollars worth of a -- -- 500000 -- here 500000 on there tell us something the end.

Just -- -- anywhere got a lot of questions about this and with me now to.

Accountable -- Tom Bradley senior fellow at freedom works Tom thank you for joining me to work through this one and thanks for having me so what exactly happened here can you break it down -- -- Well look you know.

You look at -- look at from money were also looking for jobs and have President Obama promises -- this plan to bring us jobs.

We didn't see a lot of jobs with his whole clean energy focus.

We have not.

The study was supposed to go to advanced batteries and hybrid compliance program right what is that right.

So first we -- failures with Solyndra in solar power now we're seeing failures.

With Obama is dream to have a million over one million electric vehicles running around the country.

So this was -- this is money for manufacturing.

Four.

-- for the batteries that it would fight the -- batteries for this technology to run the electric cars.

So they gave money to a company which the real harbor here is the real -- they're not telling us.

Who got the money and who lost the equipment.

That's the real problem here a lot of -- tax dollars of go on away we've not seen the jobs we can't find the equipment what we only know about this.

Because the energy department's office of the inspector general is the one that winning investigative right it may realize that obviously Adidas 500000 dollars was spent on some sort of equipment of -- -- the money is missing actual equipment is missing.

So they bought it but it couldn't be accounted for.

Right.

Right right so they can't find you know the equipment.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- One light vehicle I -- Only know that but I wanna drilled out of this one specific situation.

Is so there is some thought as you believe that this money could have gone to jam.

Well -- that's the problem -- -- any -- politics and business get together really doesn't mix.

We don't know the company that we can't find this equipment from.

One possibility is GM of course you know taxpayers we gave them fifty billion dollars develop but why do -- think it could be.

Well because -- I think this is -- political hot potato another one it could be another battery company a 123 systems.

Who's on the verge of bankruptcy.

And if we don't get the batteries they can't make electric car that company stock went from six dollars I think it's only for about seventy sense now yeah so this whole electric car problem.

Is really an issue for the American taxpayer listen up if this was in.

Conclusion -- -- -- to -- before you gotta conclusion to this report was that what they'll take away last said.

It would would be did better define regulations covering the retention of documentation.

And supporting documents.

So they think that supporting regulating supporting documents is what went wrong here when it.

About -- and -- What went wrong here is -- -- using our tax dollars to try to create a market that's what wrong.

The Department of Energy should be doing energy research if anything you I think we don't actually need an Energy Department.

But we we know they can't be venture capital companies we know they can't follow the money.

This is a huge waste for tax.

-- -- very basic level whether you agree with their politics or not they should at least be able to keep track of the equipment that they buy would taxpayer dollars are being -- let's take it down -- its most basic level you take the politics out of it you just say.

If you're getting -- tax dollars to buy an object you should keep track of that object.

Right anywhere else and in corporate -- when you can fly -- you know -- you know keep track your bike that's kind of what this guy like.

This that this is 101.

But the government can't do 101 we have Amtrak -- -- the post office now we have green -- -- our race thanks for coming weaker share out thank you.
