Middle East how does America free itself from the grip.

Of that region of the world and its control or over oil also -- with supply excuse me.

As -- Levant is author of the book ethical oil and Fox News national security analyst KT McFarland is also here with us.

As -- is it.

What developing Canadian oil sands and also oil in our northern part of the country that's not really gonna be enough is it.

Ultimately the Middle East as it already does sells oil to other nations namely China.

Who look we'll never be able to put the saudis and the Iranians out of business is just too much.

World demand and those OPEC countries have too much supply China.

India Japan -- so desperate but America can.

Kick the OPEC oil habit not just by developing domestic sources but the -- geological formation in North Dakota.

The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.

But also realizing that your friendly neighbors to the north here in Canada we've got the oil -- -- sort oil mixed with sand but we figured out how to separate them economically.

And so over the next fifteen years our oil production from the oilsands.

Will triple to four and a half million barrels a day that's about half -- what the US imports right now so not right now but in the five -- ten years from now.

We could get America completely off OPEC oil by replacing with domestic supply keeping Mexico in there and adding the oil -- That will cause oil is on is fungible.

And did it wouldn't -- Middle East could still control the price of oil and a major way could not take -- how vulnerable is that part of the world.

But look we're we're we're looking today's headlines for having a crisis in the Middle East you know whether it's over Iran whether it's Syria is -- going to spread to the entire region and a whole region could go up.

And to some kind of chaotic smoke what does that do to the price of -- should breath through the roof because -- we're -- -- 5% of the world's oil comes from that region now especially right now we in the United States.

We have looked under our feet and there is -- pilot gold underneath our feet and we need to develop that because what we want -- oil that is secure.

Abundant and -- Now the Middle East might have abundant oil but it's not secure and it's not necessarily cheap -- they like to think itself that the price once we get that.

The Middle East matters far last we've been sucked in the wars.

In the Middle East for the last fifteen years because -- borrow we don't need to do that more as drama give -- the final -- it will it take another war another military conflict to wake America up even more.

I hate taxes that they think that's the case but look we're developing the oil sands in Canada no matter what so I would just -- to our American friends.

Hey why -- you buy -- instead of forcing us to sell to someone else.

Like China final point look -- but a hundred bucks a barrel but if you add in the subsidy of US naval forces to secure those Persian gulf clos.

You actually paying about a 150 bucks a barrel.

For OPEC oil because American troops in American treasure and blood.

Are basically being the armored car escorting -- there you don't need the American military to protect the pipeline coming up from Canada we -- ethical oil alternative.

To the conflict oil this year -- oil from OPEC.

-- was great -- thank you so much KG was not a -- we couldn't figure as are about -- thank you so much.

As good to see that the -- has always.
