Day there are no jobs that's what I hear.

But -- one web site that tracks job listings found almost five million job openings in June -- openings rose by another 200000.

So it's going -- America has unusually high unemployment at the moment -- companies struggle to find workers.

Fox Business reporter Sandra Smith looked into that so what do you find out.

What -- recently went out to Allentown Pennsylvania.

We went took the company called air products.

Where -- they on hand have over 600.

Job openings.

We went to a small town and found.

-- John so -- it's not altogether unreasonable to say that there are jobs out there.

That are going unfulfilled for long periods of time.

And many of these jobs don't even have to have a college education most of which you know I have to have a college education a lot of the people we talked to a young men.

Simply had high school degree.

High paying jobs sit vacant for sometimes up to a year.

Are you actively recruiting absolutely.

Every day you can start -- wanting more dollars and home.

But most of America's college grants don't him to skills he seeks.

Politicians in Washington -- to push the importance of higher education.

Higher education is not a lot for it but for many skilled workers there's another -- the American dream.

Vocational school.

The -- to attend Lehigh career and technical institute they get jobs.

Only sixteen or agent paid more than most of my friends he just bought himself a car -- while -- has got annual.

Help with the money I had had made.

Nixon -- learn technical skills and high school you.

Had many job offers.

As I understand and they didn't go to -- Volatility.

And have a brother and I discovered how it was a master's degree and he's having a lot of trouble finding.

-- -- -- -- -- The guy with the masters and I can't find a tablet that tech student gets hit -- kind of brings a smile -- my face looking at those guys that I interviewed because they're probably what they damn.

And they said simply -- just wasn't for them their families in some cases couldn't afford college.

They're making -- body new cars they -- right on the right this is not cool in America vocational school isn't glamorous.

President Obama's wants more money for liberal arts colleges even proposed cutting support I think all support should be cut but.

He even he wants to cut wanted to cut support for vocational.

I think it's a lot -- -- to have a job -- -- by a new car than it is not be able to do that sit at home without a job.

But -- I would wholeheartedly.

Agrees that there's a major push from Washington.

Go to college go to a four year university take out the student loans if you have to you.

But why are we saying that there's another route in fact the CEO of that company that I went out to visit and Pennsylvania John -- He was -- vocational school kid.

He came out -- vocational school got a job at that company decades ago has risen to the top of the company he did attend college.

He ended up going back in getting higher education.

Economics over ten million dollars a year.

Okay that's -- and the Department of Labor says it's predicts job openings for the future they assume.

Maybe 14% employment -- we're -- growth overall but electricians they say 23%.

Plumbers and pipe -- 26%.

Heating air conditioning refrigeration mechanics 34%.

So that.

This is where the -- -- these jobs are going unfulfilled and in this particular case some of these jobs open are open over year we were told.

So vocational school graduates there's work out there and for people wanna do these shops -- -- thank you Sandra Smith --
