Or on the president's NAACP.

-- and continued administration attacks on the wealthy.

I'm joined by executive director of the independent women's forum Sabrina Schaeffer and former special assistant to president George W.

Bush.

Ron -- -- bring all of return do you.

There's the non partisan.

NAACP.

Seem to be playing some favorites in their response through the vice president and the governor -- Big kid and you know I think I think this is one of the first time that -- -- been on this show -- -- I really appreciated -- governor Romney did a very often I said that he doesn't really take a stand a lower risk averse.

I think this is one of those examples this week -- I think he really went out there and that I've got nothing to -- and I think he's a great job saying I'm not gonna speak differently to you because.

A lot of people here aren't going to agree with me he he spoke to the issue that he believes in and I think it a great job as a result of it.

And -- a number of the top officials of the NAACP.

Were critical of governor Romney for not tailoring his comments and to specifically to that audience at the at the convention.

Well as if there's such a thing Lou as a black set of issues these are American issues strengthening our economy it's making sure that we don't get hit again by -- terrorist attack.

And making sure that our children how to best opportunity to learn.

I thought the speech was shameful to difference one the vice president the United States offered up his remarks -- he said.

President Obama puts the country before politics when he launched into a speech that was inherently political.

My second point is the NAACP has a tax exempt status for not being -- political organization.

And they engaged in the worst form of politics today with their weapon in -- with vice president's remarks.

Well -- -- think I do think that they showed at least some balance if you will.

Sabrina when they not only -- governor Romney when he talked about.

Our repealing obamacare but they also gave him a standing ovation the end of his -- speech of their yesterday.

That was a -- I -- yeah I I suppose but I have to agree with Ron I am I really think that this is.

That the NAACP seems to be taking its cues from the White House and the White House is keeping to some of the lowest level of governing.

This is demagoguery they are using everything from class warfare or race warfare -- gender warfare to try to win reelection in November.

And and I think that is shameful.

Your reaction if you will run to the to the peace in the New York Times -- Boston Globe.

Dredging up this business about Romney having stayed on at Bain longer than his act -- -- Exit in 1999.

Our two to take over the Olympics so what do you make of that all of that had been.

Bird I had a body even the liberal me.

Well I think this is shameful line and let us not forget of course as you just mentioned that the Boston Globe is owned and operated by the New York Times.

This has been debunked this has been proven to be demonstrably false the governor Romney's tenure had ended.

It seems to be nothing more than a political hatchet piece for an individual that they don't want to win the White House and they're doing it in obviously.

And supporter President Obama.

Sabrina I find it fascinate.

Asset.

That the discussion here for this past week has been a -- Not like 15% unemployment rate -- include discouraged workers I'm about the -- 325 million Americans.

Who who cannot find the work they seek.

But it's been.

About.

Frankly some really silly issues side issues frankly to what will matter most of the countries return to prosperity.

I -- that's absolutely right I was sort of shocked you know I was looking at the Gallup numbers.

And today's well and and unemployment has hovered over 8% for more than three years now and the average to link the time that an individual who is out of work.

-- unemployed it's for 41 weeks I think this is what all Americans African Americans white Americans.

-- -- Jewish American women everybody this is what people care about they -- -- economic growth.

They care about job creation they don't care about about Bain Capital as we -- -- hearing earlier this is just not resonating with the American better.

Well the race is locked up this is they very -- -- to this point what is governor Romney gonna have to do.

If you can indeed break away from this president in polls.

I think when the -- said it exactly right in the piece preceding our conversation.

-- governor -- is gonna have to appeal to the independent voters he's gonna have to talk about his vision for the country is gonna talk about why his policies are best for Americans.

-- the president's failed and I think that's going to be the key issue folks are on vacation now when we come back after Labor Day that's what I really think this race is gonna turn.

We've got to wait for whatever day for crying out block a great idea affected -- grew about.

Yes I do and it's so interesting -- his right now the president's job approval is only 46 point 8% and generally when you're looking at these polls they lean Democrat because.

Of the way that is that population -- -- representatives say that is bad news for the present and I think that.

If this is an election for Romney to win -- he have to get out there it'll have to hasn't definitive plan that I think that that's what Americans are here to -- thank you very much room thank you.
