Right well yeah.

More than three quarters of the patents that are issued from top US universities last year.

Had a formal aren't student and -- -- but -- the patent is issued often the -- -- up person.

Is denied -- -- innovators have to go back home.

Overstock.Com.

President Jonathan Johnson says these are new inventions that can help create new jobs here in the United States he wants change.

OK so why can't behind this why isn't so important to -- of the coalition that you're working with to change the law -- Well -- all the problems that we have bears we're bringing these foreign students into our universities were educating them.

And then we're sending them home there's a real reverse brain drain and going on and they're gonna create jobs.

With the innovation are bringing.

They're bringing about it's not a question yeah it's a question of where they're gonna create those jobs and it.

We don't provide them he -- to create jobs here they'll go home and create the jobs they won't compete against American workers.

Okay but you know many that are sitting on the unemployment -- in this country right now are thinking to themselves why would I want.

The immigration department in particular to be supporting foreign born.

You know workers taking jobs that Americans -- can do are you saying that Americans can not do these jobs.

You know the Americans can do them but there are more jobs out there are four people at the science technology engineering and math curricula.

Then we have candidates for them.

And more importantly.

The American enterprises -- recently did a study that shows.

That these workers that these students when there work here are creating on average two point 62 jobs per person so.

They're not really taking jobs from American workers they're creating jobs for American workers.

Our judgment you've got some pretty big backers behind us now what I got to the list of names in coming get a sense of the discussions are -- Mac and -- Ahead a -- Rupert Murdoch ahead of this company News Corp.

And you're the mayor of Los Angeles mild and Michael Bloomberg killing Castro Bob Iger of Disney I mean what exactly did they planned to do if they can -- equate.

Change if you well are they gonna commit to creating more jobs in this country.

If this goes through an and -- law is changed.

You know I think all of these employers are experiencing the same thing that over -- dot com has experienced.

We need more of these mass and science workers and when we can get them we -- them it helps us build our business if we're bringing on technologists and mathematicians.

Then improve our business it helps us -- are more merchants more market errors.

More finance more -- call center people so.

In my view that when when we bring these people -- and give -- pieces so that allow them to work here.

We're creating jobs in just as importantly.

We're not creating competition back in their homelands that are going to hurt our businesses and and -- of producing jobs.

Well the numbers are behind you Jonathan you and your era in the other backers having -- 676%.

Of patents are are actually -- -- or -- A students Jonathan thank you very much Jonathan Johnson as the CEO -- talked a couple of have you back on talk about some other things.
