-- minutes from now.
All the US house about to resume debate ahead of another vote to repeal president Obama's health care law.
Promoting congressman Doug -- Georgia is a medical doctor Markus law and American.
-- -- -- and welcome back getting you know yeah this is the 33 time that the house's tried to repeal this law.
What -- any different now that when you tried it the 32 time congressman.
Sheryl let's be very clear where the American people and I know you want to believe they'll -- a great job of that and -- and the American people and it just been stops along on you're on your network.
The 31 32 time.
We're talking about a lot of votes to repeal individual aspects of the law this is I think really only the second time possibly have blurred.
That we have had a vote to repeal the whole kit you -- -- so I mean the dims love keeps saying that -- you've done this thirty Q can what do you hope and expect.
This is the second time that we have -- the whole -- bill and a lot has changed since the last time what January -- -- eleven.
When we had the repeal vote in the house successfully.
Now all of a sudden people realize that.
Though that their Chief Justice Supreme Court said this is a tax.
And it.
Potentially.
Is the largest tax on the middle class in the history of this country so I think it's very likely that we'll get a lot more Democrats voting yes.
Today and maybe indeed -- well take it up in this thing.
You're gonna -- some Democrats on your side and that certainly is change although that number is fairly small.
But you know can you basically said in a commentary that you wrote a couple of days ago that the Supreme Court had re written a lot you're talking about the penalty vs tax.
Debate here but the end of the day what is the difference in your opinion.
Well.
This there's a huge difference because the -- wouldn't dare call when attacked during the two years that they -- in the process of cramming and ran in that bill down the down -- -- dog's throats of the energy and commerce committee Republicans than we weren't in the room and goes back room deals where all -- -- All associations and all -- relations -- ball on early because they got you know they're pound to flinch.
So no this is absolutely.
-- -- appropriate thing for us to do because the American people want us to keep fighting -- wants to give up.
Look they want us to put our pants all we can't go fight play a football game until we'll put certain football pants on and that's what we're -- and House of Representatives comes.
You know like the analogy but but again as rise most likely as you know gonna go through party lines and it's gonna go to the senate -- know what's gonna happen here but let me ask you something else -- -- particular when it comes in Georgia.
You know what what many say it's gonna have to deal with -- from Nebraska today they don't wanna move forward with the Medicaid side of this.
Is that they're gonna have to cut elsewhere in particular Georgia about -- your State's same thing you said they're gonna have to find the money cut -- were education.
Other areas like that what is your state gonna do.
Well if you -- you're absolutely right you framed it perfectly Governor Perry and Texas of course at the same thing regard Texas.
A governor deal is is soccer is not coming out -- -- -- definitive decision he's gonna look at this very carefully governor of the -- wolf all with.
The small particular to small rural hospitals.
They ought health care facilities and what impact it would have warned they -- -- if he does not bake sale.
The Medicaid expansion so.
I don't think he's gonna make a decision to -- after the election and I think that's the appropriate thing to do certain got a government a lot of wisdom lot of judgment and he's not prone to knee jerk reaction so.
We're we're gonna -- -- quite honestly though I don't think we ought to take the expansion because you're you can go broke saving money.
And you get a little a little bit of a -- from the federal government make the few we end and once it got to book you can never get awful lot.
-- like the southern humor that announced record congressman gave me great to have you on the show again of course we're gonna get that vote.
Later on this afternoon about three hours from now congressman thank you very.
